Dulceology Bakery — Restaurant in Baltimore

Customer Service First-time customer and I truly appreciate when the awesome employees take their time to help. I live a distance from the bakery so I called while I was on my way because I was afraid that they would sell out by the time I got there. The young lady who answered the phone was gracious enough to put some aside for me to ensure that I got the flavors that I wanted.

Food Donuts: The donuts are huge, flaky, and have a decadent croissant texture. The bakery has a variety of flavors to choose from. From the variety that I purchased to try, the Classic glaze was delicious, as for the others unfortunately, I'm personally not a fan of donuts with filling in them but, for someone who loves donuts with filling, YOU WILL LOVE THESE!!! For any Boston Cream lovers, you have to try the Creme Brulee.

Macaroons: Funfetti, Funfetti!! This flavor is a top seller and I can see why, this was good and wasn't too sweet.

Ambiance I love the color scheme and decor. It almost felt like I was visiting a local bakery shop in Italy. There is a small area available by the window with tables and chairs to sit in and eat your delicious treats.

I only write reviews for places that blow me away, and Dulceology did exactly that. I only had the donuts, and that alone was enough to know this place is special. Dmitry was at the counter when we went. They were warm, welcoming, and so clearly passionate about their work that it made the whole visit even better.

Now, about those donuts. They weren’t just good, they were something entirely new. Imagine the softness of a donut fused with the flaky layers of a croissant; I’ll admit, I thought it might just be a gimmick, but one bite shut that down real quick. And the frosting and filling? They tasted so fresh it was almost shocking, like someone had just picked the berries that morning and turned them into the most vibrant, bright, and naturally sweet filling and frosting imaginable. I had to damn near cover my eyes to stop myself from buying another one on the spot.

And don’t just stop at the croissant donuts. The brioche donuts are every bit as incredible, soft and rich in a completely different way, yet somehow just as amazing. Both deserve their own spotlight.

Dulceology brings a modern twist to traditional latin baked goods. I ordered their tres leches cake in the style "Mi Cielo" and was very impressed! The cake was moist, sweet, and flavorful. Also, the decorations were beautiful--- the toppings included: meringue cookies, alfajores, and gold-leaf. The cake is very filling, so you will only need one slice to satisfy your sweet-tooth. Overall, the cake was great and received many compliments.

I also tried their quesadilla salvadoreña and alfajores, which were pretty tasty. Their dulce de leche recipe is spectacular!

I knocked down one star due to personal preferences. The cake was a bit dense, had a thick coat of icing and the color of the icing was a shade darker than what I wanted. The quesadilla was very firm and had a strong sweet cheese taste.
