I moved to Baltimore in the fall and while trying to familiarize myself with the local bar scene I decided to check out Wayward. SOOOO happy that I did! Months later I still find myself going back regularly and loving it every time! The staff is amazing. The manager AD and bartenders Jon & Ben are phenomenal in making sure their customers have a great experience. I’m embarrassed to admit that I’m definitely one of those people who go to restaurants and have a ton of specifications/modifications on how I want my food prepared, but at Wayward they gladly accommodate my orders and they always come out perfect. The food there is rreeaalllyy good (I’ve included a few pics of the deliciousness for your viewing pleasure). I love that Wayward is a good chill place to grab dinner/drinks with your friends during the week, and that on the weekends they bring in a DJ and there becomes much more of a party vibe. I’m glad that no matter whether I’m in the mood to chill, or turn up, I found one place where I can do both! I could go on and on about how great the place is, but you should just go check it out...
Read moreVisited this place tonight for the first time and I will never go back. This was worst service I have ever experienced in my life. Appetizer was never served, and the waiter never returned, not once, after he brought out the entrees. We had to go to the bar to ask for more water, all the while the actual server walks by on his cell phone with coat in hand and leaves the restaurant. No other waiter/waitress or bartender ever walks over to the table to even deliver a check. Eventually asked for a manager who came from the other restaurant Banditos across the street. The manager apologized but left us confused as he left out the back door of the restaurant as we could see him walking back across the street. Eventually someone delivered a check with $8 taken off for the app we never received and then came back to tell us "never mind u don't have to pay but hope you come back."
Oh let me add, we were the only customers there besides someone else who was sat as we were finishing.
The sad part is that the food was good, but it doesn't matter if the service...
Read moreWe ended up here for brunch totally by accident. We went to have brunch next door, but a power outage created a delay in opening. So, while waiting for that restaurant to open, we wandered down to take a look at Wayward. The atmosphere was very much our style, and since they were opening at the same time as the other places, we decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. The mimosa carafe was not only a great value, the beverage itself was fantastic. Made with fresh squeezed orange juice and ice cold, they were easily the best I’ve had outside of my own home. The carafe yielded about six servings-perfect for two of us. The brunch portions were stupendous. We could have easily shared one plate. I had the Morning Routine skillet. The pork had a great, but not over powering, smoky flavor and the hand cut fries remained crispy throughout the meal. It was really great. My girlfriend ordered the Country Platter and everything included was equally great. If we every find ourselves in Baltimore again, the Wayward will definitely be on our...
