I've been to Kitsch now more times than I can count, so I thought I'd write them a review and share my experience.

The first time I ordered from Kitsch I was blown away with their Mango smoothie. Honestly, it's worth ordering from Kitsch just for that. I've also tried the Berries and Cream and PB&J which are all solid, but the Mango one is my go-to.

I'm vegetarian so finding a place that has a wide selection of items on the menu that I can eat is great. The Berkeley is always fresh and really filling.

Considering how often I've ordered I've been really surprised with two things that are hard to come by when it comes to cafes and restaurants:

The consistency - when I order from Kitsch, the food and smoothies are always just as good as the first time I got them. I've never been thrown off with an inconsistent order. It's somewhat expected when you eat out but Kitsch does a great job at keeping their food consistent.

The timing - not only are they consistent but receiving my order after I place it is always quick. It doesn't matter if I order something just for myself or a handful of people.

Lastly, the staff is great. Jackie and her team have a great energy and are always welcoming. The atmosphere is a little small, but very inviting and filled with a ton of fun and nostalgic items I enjoy getting to catch up with them when I'm picking up my order.

I've also had the pleasure of getting to work with Jackie on a couple of marketing projects for Kitsch. I can tell you that she's really passionate about what she does and really cares about her customers, her team, and the food she makes. I'm excited to see where they go.

Whether you're in the Charles Village or a different neighborhood in Baltimore, this place is worth checking out! I'm sure once you go,...

5/3/25 -

Terrific customer service from all employees.

Unfortunately, handwashing isn't a procedure that is held in high esteem in this establishment. I've patronized this coffee shop twice now.

1st Time (5/3/25) - As I went to the cashier to order, there was a man towards the back chopping vegetable(s). He stopped what he was doing to get my order without washing his hands before or after taking my order. After using the register to take my order and handing me my receipt, he went back to prepping in the back without washing his hands.

I will never eat food from here.

GERMS ARE REAL PEOPLE!

2nd Time (5/6/25) -

I was met promptly at the register with a big smile and a warm welcome. She then picked up a cup with her fingers touching the inside of the cup. I politely brought it to her attention. She appreciated the reminder and got a new cup.

I like the coffee shop because of how friendly everyone is, but the lack of handwashing is concerning.

Lastly, prices are fair. Thank you for...

I was happy that I was able to find a parking spot nearby. Kitsch is located in the heart of Charles Village and Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus area.

Found this little spot tuked inside the corner of the Carlyle Apartment Homes. Upon entry, I was immediately greeted and felt a sense of warmth from the sweetest soul.

I had the choice of any egg: scrambled, fried, over easy; choice of bread, choice of protein, choice of veggies and choice of sauces. I decided on a scrambled egg sandwich on a mutli-grain with lettuce, tomato, Duke mayonnaise, and bacon. I did purchase some fermented beverages and was in awe to discover they were made from Baltimore and gives back to Baltimore City schools.

I couldn't wait to get home to dive into my sandwich, and was happy that it stayed hot enough to still enjoy.... and sweet baby Jesus, I enjoyed every bite of my sandwich. Would definitely come back and hope this spot will be here to stay.

I have no idea what took me so long to get over here. But, I’m glad I finally did. It is going to be a regular stop for us for sure! Probably the best current breakfast sandwich in Baltimore. I absolutely love the endless customizations. Also, their sandwiches are enormous. They absolutely explode with flavor. If you aren’t getting your breakfast sandwich here, you’re definitely failing. FYI, it is really a carry out spot. But if you don’t live nearby you can always eat outside. Large park is basically across the street!
