I ordered the Vienamese Bowl with chicken via delivery. The bowl was pretty okay however, I dont know if i would order it again. They call them "rice bowls" and the amount of rice they give you justifies the name; personally i don't want a big bowl of rice..it's fattening. The chicken pieces were fried and the size of extra large chicken tenders ( I didn't like that). I ordered a bunch of different sauces so it helped with the flavors. The chicken just seemed to be fried, no seasoning. I also ordered the honey garlic wings and was severely disappointed. The wingettes were huge ( I hate steroid wings), and I barely tasted any honey. They were not flavorful and considering the rave reviews the wings have gotten, I was surprised. But anyway, check them out and jusge for yourself. They have one more rice bowl, I want to try ( the Korean Bowl) and that will determine if I'll be back
Update: I had the Korean Bowl. The flavors were pretty good. The chicken pieces weren't as big and the Gochujang sauce that comes on the side has sweet spicy taste. Because it's a huge bowl of rice, they should probably give you more sauce but sadly they want you to buy extra. I liked everything about the dish except all the dam rice. It is possible I may try the Korean Bowl again but only if I can...
Read moreA cozy spot with seating indoors but it's kinda tight inside. There is outside seating but is limited to just a few tables.
The ordering experience was nice, they staff was helpful and patient for new customers. The menu has good options and everything is made to order so you can add or subtract items per your request.
The food was good, we had the Vietnamese rice bowl, some wings and some fries. The rice was cooked well but the meat would have been better if it was cooked over some coals. The "fish sauce" that came with it is nowhere near authentic, but I guess it works for the American pallet. The wings were very tasty and is probably their standout dish. The fries were crispy and the toppings didn't turn it into a soggy mush. We didn't try the banh mi sandwich, but we will definitely be back to try it.
There isn't much in terms of drinks, just canned soda or complimentary iced water in dispenser. They had your typical choices of sauces like hot sauce, Sriracha, etc. but nothing that stands out.
I would say this is a great lunch spot, or for a quick bite before a movie. Getting it to go would be best since parking and seating is limited. If you do sit inside it can get loud when...
Read moreSo let me start off by saying it's great to have options at The Rotunda. The Local Fry is a cozy spot and I do mean cozy. There's not a lot of wiggle room, that's why I think it's best to order your food before you go unless you want to eat in, in which case I would still order before I went. I went during my lunch hour, I probably waited in line about 10 minutes, then I waited for my food for another 20 minutes. Again it's very small so there are not a lot of places to stand.I was afraid to sit in the chairs because they are plastic and I simply did not trust that the chair wouldn't break from under me. My food was pretty good and they do load up the fries pretty nice. The wings are fried to perfection and you can tell that everything is fresh. The cashier mixed up an order and another customer took the food and brought it back. The customer who had actually ordered the food was then asked if she wanted the food that left with someone else, which was gross. Who wants food that a stranger had opened. All in all I was pleased with my food, not the wait times and the customer...
