Little Donna's in Fells Point is nothing short of a gastronomic gem. A blend of home-style cooking with a flair for innovation, this establishment exceeds expectations with its warm ambiance, stellar service, and extraordinary cuisine.

Every dish feels like a lovingly prepared home-cooked meal, transporting you to an intimate home kitchen right in the heart of Fells Point. The handmade pasta, cooked to al dente perfection, paired with their robust, flavorful sauces, leaves your palate yearning for more. The pizza, with its heavenly thin crust and artfully balanced toppings, is a true testament to their skill and commitment to quality.

The staff at Little Donna's makes the experience even more memorable. Attentive yet unobtrusive, they exemplify hospitality in every sense. They offer their insights into the menu with genuine enthusiasm, creating an inviting atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience.

If you enjoy good food, walk into (or make a reservation) at Little Donna's inside a corner rowhouse a few blocks from the main street in Fells Point. My wife, six-year-old daughter, housemate, and I sat on the front patio for a Saturday dinner at 5:30 p.m. Here's our experience.

  1. Food: With a chef with roots in Eastern Europe, pierogies are on the menu alongside a plate of pickled things, cabbage pancakes, and more. They also bake five different kinds of pies (pizzas).

We ordered the soup of the day (clam chowder with bacon), pierogies, plate of pickles, two Tavern pies, and a cheese pie with a side of the tomato hot honey sauce. Everything was delicious! And that tomato hot honey sauce is worth getting again!

  1. Drinks: With a cocktail, large beer, and wine list, I ordered the Pomegranate Lemon Crush. It was refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness.

  2. Service: Our server was very to the point, but it worked at an Eastern European-inspired restaurant.

  3. Price: Used to D.C. prices, we found them not bad. Our bill was $109 and potions were large.

  4. Vibe: It's a quaint and quirky spot. Walk inside and notice the unique art on the walls. It's so random, but...

Little Donna’s is a little restaurant in a converted townhouse, with decor that evokes a casual European restaurant.

We started with a few drinks, which were great. The granny’s meds was refreshing and so good the entire table ended up getting at least one.

All of the food was excellent. For appetizers we had the trout dip and the pierogies. Trout dip was fancier than expected, with herbs and root veggies, but still very tasty. The pierogies were also excellent, with a good fry to them and good flavor.

For mains, we had the Tavern pie, the Persimmon pizza, and the Softshell crab pizza. The pizza has a somewhat thin crust with a good crunch, and they have a cheese blend that is delicious. The flavor of both their classic pizza and their specialties for the day were all excellent. We also had the stuffed schnitzel, which was very tasty. We can see why it’s a best seller!

The only minor disappointment was our dessert, which was a strawberry almond cake that was a little dry, although with great and interesting flavors.

Our server was very helpful and checked in regularly and had good...

Loved Little Donna’s. The food is a home run. The pierogis are wildly good and come with a side of sauerkraut and kielbasa that is killer! We also got lobster pierogis. They had sauce that was so flavorful. We held onto it to dip more pierogis in. The pickle plate was good too, the beets were pickled to perfection. We also got a fig pizza and added prosciutto, that is now one of my all time pizzas. The cocktails are excellent. I love the Old Grandpa Tut, because I really enjoy earl grey infused anything. It’s one of those drinks that will sneak up on you since it doesn’t burn. You can down these very easily. I also enjoyed Granny’s Meds, Taco Tuesday and a Rhubarb Crush that my wife almost swapped drinks with me for. The service was great! The chef came around and asked what we had and approved of our choices. I love the atmosphere of Little Donna’s. It has a vintage, upper fells vibe. It feels cozy and inviting.
