We were really excited to try out this place based on the reviews, but, unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectations. We arrived and were seated in the new "expanded" area that just doesn't match the vibe that the other area has. We looked over the menu and ordered the tacos al pastor and the "vegetable" quesadilla. I was asked if I would like pineapple and everything on my tacos. I said "yes". When the food came out, the tacos didn't have the pineapple or "extras", it was just a taco shell with meat and that's about it. It was VERY average, to say the least. The "vegetable" quesadilla which the menu said had "seasonal vegetables" contained ONLY mushrooms (not even a vegetable). So, it was a chewy tortilla shell, cheese, and mushrooms... for $10. We complained to our server, he went back to his chef, came back to us and said "that's just how it is"... so, we paid our bill (with no discounts), left most of the "food" on our plates, and had to go get dinner somewhere...

As someone who is currently active duty military, away from home, and constantly missing what true, authentic Mexican food tastes like, this is the spot. My girlfriend and I go here two to three times a week, especially during $3 Tacos Al Pastor Tuesday.

And although $3 Taco Tuesday is incredible, the rest of their menu is just as amazing. From the daily quesadilla and ceviche that change - getting something different every time my girlfriend and I are there is a wonderful experience, to the consistency of the rest of the menu, there is, quite literally, nothing I would change on the menu.

To some, this place is just a Mexican restaurant that happens to be in Baltimore, Maryland. To me, the food, the atmosphere, the employees, the customers that walk in, they are all reminiscent of what I miss: home. And, for that, this fantastic taqueria receives five stars. Thank you, Chef Valentino Sandoval, for bringing, what I consider, home across...

The worst experience I've ever had. I went to check this place out for the very first time. After looking over the menu and not seeing a chicken quesadilla. I ask if they had a chicken quesadilla and what comes in it. It wasn't clear to the staff on what I was asking but after a little back and forth we got on the same page. After paying for my food the cook proceeded to put the RAW chicken on the flat top to cook and the placed the corn tortilla right next to it.I then told her I no longer want that tortilla due to the cross contamination that accurred and asked for new one .She didn't understand and went in the back and a man can to the front .He appeared to be the owner/ manager.I explained the same thing to him and he became defensive and rude.He then asked me if I paid and gave me my money back to leave. He didn't correct the main issue of cross contamination. I would NEVER GO BACK TO A...

This is the best taco spot in Baltimore if You are really looking for authentic, delicious, good quality and fresh food. It brought me back to Mexico! The staff Was super friendly and they all work together to make Your experience there the best. The chef is incredibly talented and it is always bringing new ideas and things to the table, so be prepared to have a very positive experience with very good food. Small and practical menu that lets you know everything is prepared from scratch daily. Tortillas are super good and al pastor is the king of the place. They are soon going to be opening outside sitting and it is on a very nice area and clean location. I also loved that the salsas weren't overwhelmingly spicy and everything was seasoned perfect. Definitely recommend and we will be coming back to try everything on the menu!

I've known chef Val for several years and this has always been his dream. I brought a friend for opening night and the server was cheerful and friendly, checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. I had the Al Pastor, and my reasons were three-fold: 1) it's the best, 2) I love watching them shave the meat off, 3) it's a classic! My friend had the shrimp tacos and generously let me taste a bite. The shrimp was fresh, flavorful, and juicy juicy. No cheap shrimp here!!! Finally, we couldn't help ourselves and ordered a "catch of the day" taco to share. The fish was swordfish and it. Was. Phenomenal!!!! Gracias mil, Val, y felicidades!

The food is absolutely DELICIOUS. The meat is so tender it legit melts in your mouth. They have homemade horchata and hibiscus tea drink. The chips are homemade. The flavor profile of all the food I tried was immaculate. The owner cooks the food himself with the help of some co-workers. Got to chat with him for a bit and he is very dedicated to his restaurant from the quality of the food to the service to the atmosphere. He's really friendly and easy to talk to. They're changing their menu soon and I can't wait to try the new dishes. I will be going back and I'm def bringing friends!
