Save your money and do NOT go here! A friend and I came in as walk-ins and called ahead of time. This is my first time here. When we arrived, we were seated next to each other. I went to the bathroom and came back to my seat. Well they moved me to another seat. The nail tech I get instantly makes my pinky bleed and butchers my cuticles. When I try to state I want acrylic gel, before I can even say acrylic, he cuts me off. When I finally tell him I want acrylic before he puts the nail color on, he apparently lacks the skillset in putting on acrylics. The numerous nail techs start talking as if I inconvenienced them when they never confirmed what I wanted. Also, they’re not busy. I’m once again moved to another nail tech. The next nail tech re-butchers my cuticle because the previous nail tech didn’t do it properly. The nail tech has the audacity to say that I should have told them acrylics before since it’s a BIG difference. It’s not my fault your nail techs are not well rounded in skillsets. I also asked for oval nails. Are the oval nails in the room with us? These nails look hideous. I truly believe they did a chop shop job out of spite. Why complain about me asking for acrylics when you’re getting more money? And don’t let me forget to tell you that this place is BYOB to! They allow customers to drink. The lady next to me was drinking a high noon. I guessed I missed the memo that you need to BYOB and be wasted to overlook the terrible job they do.

This nail shop has the WORST service in Baltimore. They are rude and if you are of color YES I SAID it. Then expect a totally different service. I have whitnessed them abruptly handle black people and passify the others. (Mainly white people) They do not listen to your needs or requests and God forbid you speak up for yourself......They gather around you and blatantly start talking about you in their language. They don't paint your nails properly I just got mine done yesterday and they are not painted close enough to the cuticle at all. I was treated badly by this salon during the summer and I said i was going to complain to the board about some of their practices. Instead they flooded me with 10 $10 coupons. When I went to use the coupons they told me I could only use ONE at a time. I am NOT going back to this salon and if you want your nails done right DONT GO , STAY AWAY enough is enough. The picture I posted my nails are NOT EVEN 24 hours old

I honestly never post reviews, the experience I just had was so negative I feel the need to. The person who did my pedicure was wonderful, but the person who did my full set dip manicure was the rudest I have ever had. I came with a picture of exactly what I wanted (a simple, oval French manicure). The fact that I tried to show the picture multiple times, when it was clear they were not even attempting to make my nails match, annoyed them and they constantly waved it off. My cuticles were done half heartedly at the end, the shape is inconsistent, the tips themselves sloppy. I am so disappointed. Every time I tried to speak, I was cut off and told to “wait”. It never got better. Now I am stuck trying to figure out how to remove powder nails with tips the night before a vacation. I had always had good experiences here until now, but I will not be returning knowing there’s a chance I would end up with this person again.

I’ve been to this place 4 times now and thought I had found my new spot. I’ve never had a bad looking manicure or pedicure from here but the service is what turned me off. The last 2 times I’ve went to get a mani pedi I’ve had a nail tech who is extremely grumpy and unwelcoming despite my efforts to be somewhat conversational and polite. She does a great job as far as the results but after today I will not return to this place because there was a very obvious discrepancy in her effort compared to the last time. The part that really put me off was that they completely ignored my request for a pedicure which I had established initially from walking in. At first I thought they were just busy but I was sitting in the chair with my polish I picked out and no one approached me or seemed to notice that my requested service was not completed. I waited patiently but the nail tech that did my manicure started on another persons pedicure who had just walked in. I wanted to speak up but I was still under the impression that I should just be patient. I waited with my friend but once his pedicure was done I no longer wanted to wait. I try to be understanding in these situations but there were nail techs sitting on their phones and people who had walked in after me were being helped first. I found this to be very irritating because I was more than happy to pay for everything and tip generously. I just wanted what I initially asked for and it felt like I had to advocate for myself just to get it. Will not...

I was going to Maniluxe pretty regularly when it first opened because I was trying to find a local nail salon (my favorite place is Vibrant Nail Bar in Towson) near my house in a Hampden. It was okay but never great. My gel mani would last 7-12 days and would chip within a day. The service was inconsistent and prices always varied.

I stopped going for months but decided to give it a chance on Friday 7/13. Big mistake, I should’ve have gone to my usual spot. The tech I had was the worst. She left my nails almost opaque until I had to ask for a third coat. She did an awful job manicuring my nails to the point where they didn’t even look done. She had a strange technique of dabbing the polish on which didn’t leave it smooth. I was so unhappy and at the end she put a huge glob of lotion on my hands and rubbed it in for literally a second. I had to sit there while she stared at me and finish rubbing it in. It was so uncomfortable.

Upon checking out, I told the male cashier how terrible my experience was. He said “oh, sorry”. and I said I can’t believe I was being charged $35 for the worst manicure. I showed him all the imperfections in my nails and he said “she can fix it”. I did not want that woman touching my nails again so I said forget it, I won’t be coming back. He said ok. I meant what I said, I will never go back. Can Hampden/Baltimore get a decent nail salon, PLEASE??...
