With great recommendation by a loyal customer, I drove one hour with my family to pick up an order by phone of $148. Burgers and appetizers. Since each member of the family has significant deadly food allergies, I was very specific on each item ordered. They unbelievably screwed up every time in the order. Two of the burgers were absolutely raw (red) uncooked meat. The rest of the order were made insensitively by included every single item I have asked specifically NOT to include. How can when the menu specifically says “Chipotle mayonnaise is served on the side”, the cook add that item deliberately on the sandwiches?? Must have NO respect for human lives and must be very insensitive to the health and life of the loyal customers trust the establishment and put our health (life or death) on the hands of the restaurant? Out of compassion during this tough economic conditions, I drove one hour to support a small business establishment to survive in this pandemic. When I called after returning home to express my unhappiness with this order, the man answered the phone simply told me to “go to hell and we don’t care about your opinion or complaint”! His comment was “I made the food myself and I don’t make mistakes”! My wife and daughters called after I did and this guy was unbelievably rude to these ladies. The truth is that, I didn’t even ask for a refund. He didn’t even offer to remake the food to correct the order, which is offered by every restaurant out there. I wanted the manager and owner to be aware of such abusive behavior by the restaurant staff to it’s customers. I asked to speak to the owner or manager! The reply was they are NOT available. Called the next day and the answer was you get lost and they do not want to hear about your complaints or concerns. How can you hire such irresponsible employees to attend to customers and be the face of the restaurant out there. Wow! Unbelievable in this challenging times. You can see restaurants are closing left and right. I hope either the restaurant owner who invested so much of his money and resources in this restaurant make a huge change in the attitude of it’s staff. If you don’t, you will soon close your place soon. Depending on the response from the owner to my concerns posted here first, I will continue to expose this restaurant to health department and other many social media sources. Read moreI just got a real uncomfortable feeling as soon as I walked into this place. Almost as if I wasn't welcome there. Made my order, food came out, and my English muffin was raw... almost gummy and pale. I asked for them to recook...which normally I don't send food back..but I really wanted that English muffin. The waiter took it back. When he delivered the new one it was flattened like a cracker. Not toasted in a toaster but thrown on a grill and smashed with a spatula. Flat and hard. But the thing that bothered me most about this visit was the receipt came and the waiter, who never came back to the table to check on us...not once unless I called to him...never got a coffee refill , and the manager refilled water! Anyway, the waiter charged an automatic tip on the bill. I am a GREAT tipper....I worked my way thru college as a waitress...I always value the wait staff and I tip accordingly... but always at least 18% even if they suck....like this guy did. When I questioned why there was an automatic tip added to my bill, he apologized and said it was an accident and removed it. I know it wasn't a mistake. He treated us poorly from the moment we walked in the door. Never smiled and barely spoke to us. And NEVER came to see if we needed anything like a REFILL on water or coffee. Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at Twist on Dec 22, 2024. I decided to meet a longtime friend there for brunch and the experience was terrible. Our service lacked to say the least. We were the only black people in the restaurant at the time and we seemed to have gotten the very minimum of service. Our food was not hot when it came out and after receiving the food no one checked back on us to see if we needed anything. The first person came to the table about 45 mins after simply to bus it. Someone did however show up about 10 mins after that but I was already done eating so if I needed anything I would not have gotten it in time to try to enjoy my already very lukewarm meal. I noticed that the rest of the patrons however were having no problem getting decent service. Upon receiving the bill for our meals they included the service fee although we were a 2 top not a 6 top. The server response was simply “oh they included it let me fix it” I personally feel the inclusion of the auto gratuity was racially biased. I work in the service industry as a server myself so I know how things work and they had to intentionally go in the system to add the charge manually! It was a very disappointing experience to say the least and I more than likely will not ever return.
