I understand maybe I shouldn't have high expectations, but I have had very pleasant experiences with staff here in the past.
Today, I was treated with the utmost of ignorance and disrespect. The alleged "manager" named Kathy at 6:30pm on Friday August the 2nd 2024 rudely asked "what do you want?!" As I approached the soda machine to check if the cherry fanta was working. The flavors only work 50% of the time. When I initially attempted to respond with "I just wanted to check if there was cherry fanta..." She interjected with "NO we don't have that." In a stern, obnoxious manner.
However, I said "well, actually yes it says it IS working and sometimes I come there because it's the only place I can buy a cherry fanta."
Her response was "well the system is down so it doesn't matter". Umm I have both cash and card. I depart the store and see her serve another man. I asked why the system is down for only me?
I asked for the manager, which she is supposedly the manager which I find absolutely flabbergasting. If this is the case, either she needs a serious accelerated/extensive course in customer service or better yet "how to treat people with respect and common decency'.
Then, I asked for the store number (which seemed to elude her memory at the moment of said inquisition) that was returned with a patronizing chuckle. As I walked away I said, I think I may have to get in touch with corporate (because I cannot wrap my head around any reason whatsoever to warrant such ignorant behavior other than racism.
She literally stereotyped me, maybe because I had a backpack and assumed I had no money or flat out did not serve me out of discrimination/racist stereotyping which is NOT ok. Even if I was a terrible mean old hobo, everyone has the right to be treated with common decency and respect. I am speaking beyond the staff and service, I did not receive any such basic human rights today. You can hear everything that theyâre talking about over the intercom. They are so rude the food be half of the time the only reason why I keep going to this place because I live so close to this Wendyâs and the next one is about 15 to 20 minutes away turn on I never had this problem with the morning shift or evening shift. Before I could even order my food I had to wait for 10mins for them to take someone elseâs order in front of me. When I did the Manager had me waiting another 5mins he didnât even say hold a min pls or even sorry for the wait after I said hello he still was rude âhold onâ then got on there having a whole other conversation with his employees talking about â ack â he was very unprofessional, rude to myself and his employees, unorganized, just a lot of chaos. I waited 10mins for him to get the money from me to pay for my food, he didnât give me a receipt until I asked, then told me he donât have it smh I let him know he never gave me one, then when he did he gave me the wrong one. I asked them to not add no cheese to one of the sandwiches and no tomatoes on the other but it still was on there anyway, mayo was on my sandwich instead of ranch and my fries were brown and cold. He never apologized but another employee did for how long I had to wait for my food he was more organized and professional to his employees and I.
