Stopped here for lunch. The best thing about it was our server and the water. The food was not good. I had the blackened chicken pasta and it was not at all what I expected it to be. I have had this dish in many restaurants in many states and although everyone always has their own take on it, never have I ever had what tasted like jarred marinara sauce on it. It was not edible. My husband ordered the Cajun seafood grill and he said the seafood tasted like it was fresh off the Sysco truck. To their credit, they did take my meal off the bill because I couldn’t eat it, even though I said I was happy to pay for it. And it does have a relaxing atmosphere and good views to enjoy.

We went upstairs to the Crowsnest and the views were beautiful. Suki took care of us and was sweet and helpful. The Crab Cocktail was great. The crab was fresh and delicious and the little bit of cocktail sauce was something that I have never had with crab meat but was a wonderful addition. The deep fried stuffed mushrooms were very good, and I am normally not a fan of mushrooms. The grilled salmon was beautifully moist and had a nice charred note. The scallops and shrimp in the seafood linguine were very good. The noodles were a bit soft and watery, the flavors in the seafood tomatoes carried the dish to being good if not great.

The Wheelhouse quickly became my favorite restaurant while visiting Bandon! My friend and I enjoyed it so much that we ate there three times in just two days. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. They were very accommodating with my dairy- and gluten-free requests, which I really appreciated. Great prices, generous portions, and delicious food — the sauce was the cherry on top (honey vineggrette) I highly recommend it!

The food was delicious both times we have gone. Unfortunately they charge 20% service charge automatically added to you bill. My $112 came to around $134 because of the service charge. That was automatic before the tip. The problem was that they charge that service charge automatically and only one person out of nine got a refill on any of our drinks. I don't believe a $20+ service is ok if the service is not even sub par. The other people at my table ended up paying an additional $30 service charge on the part of the check. $50 charge and only one refill for our drinks! Which each drink was $4 and there was 8 drinks ordered. $40 on drink and only one refill! Won't eat...
