Rude and not professional at all. I have been to this establishment a total of three times and each time I have enjoyed seating at the bar. Last visit was last Saturday, 2/18/2017, I called ahead of time to see what bar tenders were working, because I had a great experience with one before. They were not working, but two other's were- Male and Female. Not a problem I took my chances still and came in. I took a guest with me to the establishment and sat at the bar and was not asked if we wanted anything until almost 10 minutes (not busy either). Finally placed my order after waiting then another almost 20 minutes after my drinks, this is with me asking for help to and being told she'd be right back. I had three horrible drinks (should not even paid, but did) and my order was wrong-completely. Sadly I should have known it wasn't going to be right if she had to come back to the bar and re-ask my guest his order when she was supposedly writing everything down. This is not what upset me. Sadly, today after a long day I thought about trying to come back and have a drink but then treated rudely by the, what he first stated as solely a manager, Manuel. I ask politely who was working the bar in hopes to have a more experienced bar tender. He did not even acknowledge my question and stated, yes we have a great band playing tonight.. puzzled because I I didn't not inquire about that, but just in case he couldnt hear i repeated my original question. He explain he wouldnt give that information. I was very confused because each and every time I have called before all employees gave me that information no hesitation. I tried explaining my confusion asking why and was then treated with hostility about the information. Clearly something must have happened recently for this new change and guarded attitude. After this "manager" kept inturrpting and literally changing my words around and turning a small confusion into a huge scene he hung up to act like the bigger person, is my assumption. I did peruse to call back because my main concern was not rectified-why is all the staff giving out this such valuable information if they are not suppose too. All I wanted was clarity and security of this establishment being new to the area and having such different experience's every time I go. By the end of the conversation he became manager, then co-owner, finally to owner? No manager, co-owner, or even owner would address an issue in this matter regaurdress of the situation-especially when one is looking for clarity on how you run your business. They would also not act like a thug and try to instigate anything with, in their possible mindset, a hostel party. Having family in law enforcement and owning multiple business there is strict protocol for many things. This destination just has a convenient location off the freeway. Good husbandry and customer care is not of an importance. This gentleman, Manuel V, told me to go talk to him in person and stated all our phone conversations are recorded. For both our sakes they are because there is proof of his manipulation and ignorance. To the locals this won't mean anything maybe judged or misconstrued, but in order to have a respectable business you must first...
Read moreI have been a food critique on the radio, actually trying to help restaurants, my experience was the service was bad and the food was bad, I will not be back, and can not recommend this place to anybody. I give it only one star, If I could give a negative star I would give 3 negative stars. My wife and I came there some were around 3PM on a Sunday. We were greeted by a sign that said "All you can eat buffet for $18.95" When I asked the hostess about that, she said it had been over for a couple of hours. I told them they should take the sign down. To begin with the interior is clean, seems to be newly redone, however a little confusing with a Farmhouse theme they have large pictures of past celebrities, as much as I like the pictures a bit confusing for a farmhouse as the subject. The Ambiance was sterile and nothing original. There were few patrons and the people across from us were already served. We ordered our lunch, fired chicken and a club sandwich with water and extra lemon. It took a very long time to get the water, then a little while later the lemon came. No napkins or silverware on the table, which is fine until you start serving anything. Just water with lemon, after squeezing the lemon and I wanted to dry my hands, I had to wait about 8 minutes until we had any one come close, and had to ask for napkins and silverware. My first clue, the silver ware was wrapped in a napkin with a sticker, this is done in lower end restaurants and dinners. It was taking a long time for the food, so the waitress asked if we wanted salads on the house, we said no. Then my wife’s sandwich was brought out, then quite a few minutes later my chicken was brought out. There were four pieces of chicken, one I could not identify nor did I eat it. The deep fried chicken had a taste of old oil with a slight fish taste, which was the most flavor it had. The chicken was dry (even being deep fried), every bite I took, I had to take some water. The mashed potatoes and gravy were OK, mostly because it tasted like and I believe it was canned gravy. The sandwich for my wife was fair but tasted very salty for that type of sandwich, and had too much lettuce on it. The waitress came over and wanted to know if we wanted dessert on the house, I told her it was the worst meal I had in a long time, just give me the bill, she did take the chicken off the receipt. With the waitress trying to give food items away, they know the food is bad. When we left the buffet sign was still up. So all in all, stay away from the...
Read moreI've eaten at the Farmhouse many times over the past 10 years and the food & service were always excellent. After an absence of about a year, we decided to take our weekend guests there today for breakfast. We thought it strange when the usually packed parking lot was almost empty on a Saturday morning. By the time we left, we knew why! The food (simple breakfast fare) was not just terrible - it was completely inedible . Our over-medium eggs were horribly under-cooked and the hash browns mushy like they'd been reheated several times. The grits were filled with large hard lumps. The chicken fried steak (which I'd so happily ordered in the past) was nasty and the gravy was almost a solid mass of doughy lumps. Even the english muffin was soggy - not from butter but like someone had spilled water on it before serving it. Not one person in our party could manage more than a bite or two of anything on our plates. As we sat there, we noticed similar stories at the few occupied tables around us, with some customers complaining and some, like ourselves, simply pushing away their full plates in disgust. The waitress never checked on us to see how we were doing, only stopping finally when she saw our barely touched plates pushed to the edge of the table. "Finished?" she asked brightly as she scooped them up and turned to dash off. Not a word about, "How was everything?" or any show of concern that we'd barely tasted the food. I've never had an experience this terrible in a...
