Came in before they had the grand opening to try out some of the desserts and was not impressed. I mean they were not bad but I had better before. I had a mangoneada and some churro nachos which was crispy churro chips with ice cream on top. Like I said it was good but nothing special. In a way I had high hopes for this place and left a bit disappointed . Well a few months passed and I decided to go and give there food a try and well I was very impressed. Had some carne asada street tacos, pastor tacos, and I had a fuego taco with an agua fresca. The street tacos are usually $1.50 but it was national taco day so they were on sale for $1. I'm like you don't see street tacos up in the Pass area for that price so why not give it a try. The asada was delicious. Bigger chunks of asada with onion and cilantro and there salsa's which was pretty good. The pastor taco I consider a bootleg pastor because it was not made in the Shawarma machine which I usually won't even get pastor tacos if thats the case but I had to give them a try so I got one and it was not bad. It was bigger chunk of pastor but with a different marinade. Now the fuego taco which is a $3.99 bigger taco with homemade corn tortilla mixed with hot Cheetos was actually pretty damn good. The first time I saw it I said to myself damn thats heartburn waiting for happen so I didn't look to appetizing to me. But I got it and was very impressed. I couldn't taste the hot Cheetos but the tacos was good. It had sour cream, guacamole, carne asada, onions. cilantro and hot cheeto dust on top. Will I get this taco again? Probably will but if they had a huge taco with homemade tortilla and no hot Cheetos dust I would get that instead. But the fuego taco was a good taco. And finally my agua fresca delicious. I tried the pineapple orange which was good but decided to go for the horchata which was like a coconut horchata. They were just right and not to overly sweet like with what you get at some other places. This place is decorated pretty cool too with a bunch of pictures around the walls of important female latinas. Overall I am giving this place 5 stars because I do think they have some of the better tacos in the Beaumont/Banning area, the staff is super friendly and prices are good. I will be back soon to try out one of there monster burritos I saw another customer eating and I have to try out one of...
Read moreFuego Cravings in Beaumont, CA is, well... en Fuego!
This new restaurant to the Pass Area, located at the border of Beaumont and Banning, is truly a delicious take on classic/traditional Mexican snack/street food with a modern twist, combining established flavor with unique and current cultural favorites.
Let's talk about the menu... street tacos, burritos, mulitas, elote, hot dogs and desserts, oh my! Everything is either traditional or offered with a covering/mixing/dusting of a flaming hot chip of choice (Cheetos/Doritos). To say that this spot caters to it's customers is an understatement.
When you're done with all of the main foods, save some room for a dessert of choice. Fuego Cravings offers sinful choices such as Mangonadas, fresh churros (authentic Mexican style - from the little man on the corner, by the church on Sunday, in TJ) and a wide variety of Tostilocos style (in the bag and smothered with greatness) chips for your enjoyment.
The restaurant is clean and well maintained, along with an inviting layout showcasing more than (8) TV's and a large sectional couch for watching the game with friends and family. Did I mention that they also serve alcohol? What better way to eat this food than with an ice cold beer... for the little ones or folks that don't drink alcohol, there's plenty of bottled Mexican favorites (soft drinks, Jaritos) and agua frescas.
Wendy, one of the owners, was delightful and helpful with ordering and making sure that we got all of our items, in a timely manner.
As this location is new, be prepared for a wait during lunch and dinner times. As with all great things... it's worth the wait!
When in the Pass Area, stop by and give Fuego Cravings a try... tell them Uncle Buck and the Madonna family told you to,...
Read moreThis 1 star review should actually be NEGATIVE FIVE STARS. This was my first time coming to try out this restaurant and it was beyond the WORST DECISION I made. I placed an order ahead via yelp, I arrived as I got the notification that my order was ready, in that exact moment I was arriving, a guy is leaving with an order that looks like mine, and when I asked the employee at the front about my order, I said that the guy who just left may have taken it. She rudely and sharply stated “No”. As she looked, she came back and said he took my order.
NEXT, she proceeds to tell me I should run out of the restaurant and get my order from this sketchy looking stranger leaving the parking lot. I look at her with much surprise and tell her that I WILL NOT run after food after it’s already been taken out of the restaurant. Why didn’t she go and try to correct her mistake or literally do anything else to fix the issue ?
I THEN ask if they can remake my food, trying to offer them a chance to make things right. She ONCE AGAIN SAYS NO. What the heck ?! Their hours state they close at 9pm and it was around 7pm. The audacity to say that they would not make my order.
At that point, I asked for a refund. What a horrible excuse for a restaurant. The lack of accountability for their actions and their lack of customer service. I refused to go back here.
For anyone reading this review, the main takeaways:
This restaurant does not pay attention to give the correct orders to the right people
They have no customer service skills
They have no initiative/ care to make things right
I recommend GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Support another local business and get better food for a better price and with much better employee...
