Cissy's Diner — Restaurant in Barberton

I tried Cissy's for breakfast today. It is not a fancy place, very casual and some might consider ot a " greasy spoon". This is old school dining. It is small, five seating tables plus the counter. I sat at the counter and was greeted immediately. With coffee in hand, I ordered eggs over easy, sausage party, and toast. The menu is very basic, no surprises. Typical breakfast fare. The food came out of the kitchen in about 10 minutes. Eggs were good, sausage had a great sage flavor, and the coffee kept coming. My server was attentive and friendly. Now the best part, breakfast only cost me $6.50. You can't find a good home cooked meal for that...

My friend dragged me downtown to try some upscale, hip & trendy joint that just opened up for breakfast. Unfortunately, that establishment doesn't open up until 11 a.m. to serve "breakfast". Turns out, that was a blessing in disguise, because Cissy's Diner is the kind of joint that serves breakfast at breakfast time. If you're like me, and you know the difference between breakfast and brunch, eat at Cissy's. They'll be glad to have you. Our server was very friendly and made good conversation. Cute place to stop in, and get a cup of coffee. It's a small place but everybody tends to know everybody in a restaurant like Cissy's dinner.
