Disclaimer: I have rewritten this review. My experience tonight 6/23 after being a weekly regular for years, makes me not want to return. The bartender was very detached, what can I get you guys was all she said in her greet. We ordered our weekly usual. It came out in a timely fashion however the Jerk sauce I ordered came out as a dry rub. Upon notifying our bartender/server whom dropped the food and began to walk away immediately without follow up service questions, i notified her that we wanted jerk sauce, she stated it had been changed a month ago to a dry rub. (We ordered it 8 days ago and received the delicious sauce expected. ) .She offered no apologies, no explanations, just that it had just been changed a month ago. It seemed that she did not care whether we were there or not, and we were a nuisance. She had 0 personality and made us feel very unwelcomed. Our drinks were empty for at least 10 minutes before she revisited us. She did not even ask us if we needed refills we had to wave her back down after leaving. She gave us nasty looks while we were there. Definitely treated us differently than her other tables. Maybe had she not been judging based on appearances, she would have realized that we were regulars and very good tippers. When dropping the bill I tried to call her back to fix the total, because we were charged for wings after telling her we did not want the ones that were dry rub. With an attitude and a nasty look, she said I'm fixing it. I'm not sure what's going on with management however we definitely will call before we come up here to make sure she is not going to be bartending. If the owners are smart, they will give the option of the jerk sauce or at least educate their staff to educate their customers on menu/sauce changes, and to not make their guests feel like they are a bother to the person serving them. Being a server and bartender of 18 years, this is the 1st time EVER that I have not left a 20% or more tip. I can't remember her name but this girl was a Caucasian girl with long dark hair and a ponytail terrible customer service, Terrible table service, And treated us like we were a bother to her being there. We will from now on, if we choose to come back, call and make sure we know who is going to be...
Read moreWhere do I start w/ The Bourbon Brick Oven Grill ? I've been in this restaurant 4 times in the last 2 months & these are things that are obviously noticable. It has potential to be a great little pizza joint but only time will tell & this is an honest no fluff review not placed by personal friends of the business to boost ratings because seeing a 4 star rating is overly generous at this point.
Pros: The food is really Good, flavorful & they do not skimp on the toppings. There is a wide selection of food on their menu for everyones taste. They do book top notch local entertainment which draws fun crowds.
Cons: Their current bartender (Jenn/Jennifer) is losing major money for this business. She's more concerned w/ her cell phone, visiting friends & having a good time beyond her job & less about serving her customers. It takes entirely TOO LONG to get a drink whether you're at the bar waiting or another waitress is waiting your table trying to acquire drinks. This is unexceptable & can be a businesses downfall.
They need a few more waitresses & ones concerned w/ their tables. The last time I was in there on a Saturday night there was a waitress named Sara that was waiting on just about every table & running her butt off but did an Awesome job staying just ahead of the chaos & still courteous, so there's your Manager if you need one.
If you're flipping pizza dough & it hits the floor (accidents happen) then you need to toss that dough & not pick it up & continue to make a pizza, Yes this was witnessed by a friend & I and if we hadn't already received our meal we wouldn't have been eating in there again but if there is a future visit you can guarantee I will be watching.
Tables could & need a wipe down after every customer & all 4 times I visited they were slightly dirty & sticky.
The bathrooms here are a bit inadequate (1 at a time per gender) for the amount of patrons this business can serve especially on a busy night but for the most part are justly clean.
Pizza can be a bit pricey but the rest of the menu is...
Read moreWe got to the restaurant late but it was well before closing time. They told us to take a seat wherever and it took a while to come to us to get drinks or menus. The first thing I noticed was the disgusting holes in the booths 🤢. We ordered cheese bread for an appetizer but weren't sure what we were going to get. Our waiter put the cheese bread in and a while later came to take our order for our food. We waited quite a while for both and finally the pizza comes out. We got a BBQ chicken pizza and it was not good in the slightest. When the APPETIZER came after the meal it was drenched in grease and oil like a puddle. I literally soaked 4 napkins in grease and there was still more. It was so bad we couldn't eat any of it and we told our waiter and nothing was done to even take it off the bill. We got done eating and we literally waited over an hour for the waiter to come up with the check and ask if we needed boxes. When he finally came up he had a box but not the check so I had to go get it myself. Mind you, it wasn't even busy, the one girl working had two tables and the guy had ours and that was it. He was sitting on his phone at the desk near the pizza window. Something seriously needs to be done about this place or I'm calling the...
