Was traveling with a friend yesterday to an appointment and decised to eat locally afterwards instead of immediately heading back. Personally, when I am in a new area I like to check out and support local businesses and restaurants. This was apparently the place for locals to be since on what I assume was an average Thursday at 5:30pm most parking spaces were taken up and more vehicles were coming in. After we took the last space multiple vehicles still kept pouring in.
We were seated promptly and had a full bowl of medium salsa and a basket of chips delivered to us. Our server greeted us and took our drink oder which was delivered promptly as we reviewed our dining options. This specific multipage menu was organized a bit differently then we were both use to, but our server was jovial and helpful in sorting out our order. We decided upon fajitas made of mixed chicken and steak which are usually a delicious, affordable, filling option for two. It was more than enough to fill up the both of us.
So overall, tasty food, friendly service, good ambiance/atmosphere. Worth a try imho.
Not going to knock down stars for this, but after thinking about it, and since this was our first time visiting this specific restaurant, a few things that could have improved the overall experience imho:
a) Pay on exit, not at table. We were patiently waiting for over 20 minutes for our server to return to our table to take payment. It would be nice if we were told to pay at the front when we were ready when the check was dropped off. b) What is your name? For the matter, we both use to staff having name tags or at least a simple introduction upon greeting with our servers legal first name or preferred/ nick name (assuming more than one Megal or Maria was working there) should we need anything. This would be especially helpful to identify who our server was especially if he was busy handling other tables, went on break, or left after his shift ended before we cashed out. c) Charge for more tortillas? Some places charge for more flour/corn tortillas, so was unsure if this was one that did charge? Hard to fully enjoy a full plate of tasty fajitas when supplied with only 2 per person. (see photo) d) If any discounts could have applied to our order, so we could pass the savings to our servers tip? We both have ties to the military and both carry appropriate ID/contractor documentation at all times. It is not a huge deal if the business does not offer a specific discount, but one does not know...
Read moreA friend was having a " Goodbye Party" as they were moving out of state. Restaurant was great at accommodation of a group of 35 people. My friend was paying the bill for everyone. A couple of us thought it would be nice to pay our own bill, so she wouldn't have to pay so much. We paid our bills with credit cards and got receipts. However, we found out later that they still added our bill to her credit card as well. Sad, they knew and basically was paid twice on those of us who paid. She was definitely upset, as we those of us that paid separately. We just wanted her not to have to pay the additional expenses because she had already spent so much moving. The whole group of 35 agreed that we would not be frequenting this...
Read moreI usually enjoy coming here with my girlfriend. But she left her Switch there in the evening and called the next day to ask about it and see if they found it, she was not only ignored, but hung up on twice by the person who answered. Great food, good in person service, but disgusting the way they treat someone who possibly lost items worth $600+ and refuse to help by bluntly ignoring a customer.
Edit. She found it and wqs helped by the front desk people, I think that the phone person didn't understand English very well which is why my girlfriend was hung up on, no excuse for it though. Nevertheless, they helped us out in a big way. Thank...
