Taco Bell / KFC — Restaurant in Barnstable

If there was a negative I would give a negative. First off I know nobody likes working in fast food especially Taco Bell or kfc. I worked at a Taco Bell for a year and I made the best of it. That being said if your that miserable then please go find something else to do. It was like I was inconveniencing them by ordering food. And speaking of food let’s talk about that first let me speak on the worst kfc I have ever had and I’ve been to some dumpy locations. The chicken wasn’t fried it was soggy and so greasy that the skin literally slid off. And for the love of god change your friolater oil nothing worse then having to sit in the bathroom for an hour after you eat some fried food. Now let’s get into the tacos that were not only completely wrong but the shells of the tacos literally tasted like they were sprayed with cleaning chemicals. On Monday, August 18, 2025, at 9:20 pm, we went to the Taco Bell/KFC to make one order from each franchise via the drive-thru window. The order was processed promptly, efficiently, and accurately. What was even more noteworthy was the cheerful, friendly and humorous attitude of Victor working the window who was at the tail end of a 12-hour shift. Fresh and upbeat, you would have thought he was starting his shift. When I asked him how he was he smiled back and said, "I'm living the dream!" in a quasi sarcastic but very hummorous and cheerful manner. The rest of the banter went that way. I thought he should be recognized for his wonderful, positive attitude that made us feel good while driving away. I won't judge quality of the food because it's fast food after all, but over the last 5 years I've very rarely had any issues with order accuracy and wait time. Service is good, and what I mean by that is they're not rude at least. Atmosphere is a 2 because they don't do much to keep out the homeless who just sit around. But if you ever take a second to look behind the counter and took a minute: you can appreciate just how hard these people are working. That ain't an easy job. Whatever your opinions are about fast food: these people are on thier feet and working hard. You gotta respect that. 5 stars overall because if you compare this store to the average KFC/Taco Bell you'd see that we're very lucky to have this restaurant in our area.
