Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Barrington Township

Went to grab a couple sandwiches on the way home and the customer service that was provided gives Jersey Mike's a bad name. Plus, the Jersey Mike's website doesn't have a section to tell them about customer's experience which may look like they're ok with poor customer service. We arrived at 8:50 P.M. Yes, it was 10 minutes prior to closing but the restaurant is still open. There were 3 employees (2 female, 1 male) present and they were giving us looks as we were exiting our car and approaching the restaurant. The male employee informed us that the only bread they had left was Rosemary which we were ok with. He then began to grab the pieces for the meat cutter as everything was cleaned and prepped for closing and cut our cheese and meat. All 3 of the employees had faces showing how annoyed they were and it was super uncomfortable for us customers. While the female employee was putting on the condiments, the male employee was banging the meat cutter pieces as he was rushing to clean it up again. When the sandwiches were done, the male and female employees were sighing as they were wrapping up our sandwiches. We checked out at 8:55. When I asked them for their names, they refused to give them and said they didn't need to give it out. Is this really a policy of Jersey Mike's? Yes, it is frustrating when customers walk into any establishment when you're about to close however it is a part of business and doors aren't closed until 9:00 P.M. Very rarely do I leave a 1 star review. The UNI wrestling team must have just came in I had 3 people in front of me ordering so I figure I’m fourth in line. Here the rest of the team had sat down and was also waiting.

With this being not known to me however know to the employees you would think when ordering they would say just so you know there will be a 30 minute wait?? No they tell me 15 min during the wait sorry for the wait.

Even my dad and brother ate at chipotle and was All done and stopped in and asked if I was done nope still waiting. After another 15 minutes very disappointed the bread was too toasted to the point it was hard and falling apart while eating it. They never asked what bread I wanted it on also? Cause they were rushing?

I love trying new places. With Jersey Mike's springing up all over, it was definitely on the list of places to try. It was Mother's Day and we were looking for something fast as we were traveling between venues, but didn't want the typical fast food aka McDonalds, Subway, etc. We saw Jersey Mike's and decided this was the time. I got the Chicken Chipotle and it was delicious. For anyone thinking this is like Jimmy John's or Subway, absolutely not. I tried Jimmy John's once and would never go back.
