Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Bartlett

I wanted to send a shout out to manager Carlos Luna and his team at your Bartlett, IL location. This location is down the street from my office and I am there often enough that I suspect that they know my order when they see me coming. I had a complicated and large order to place yesterday and instead of doing it online, I decided to go in and place it in person. I had a print out of an Excel spreadsheet and Carlos sat down with me and his notepad to sort it out. I was impressed with this level of customer service as he was actively seeking to identify what my actual needs were. Through his questions, he discovered that the large order was for kids for a Friday night, after school tournament so that they would have dinner after a full day of school. He advised me of promotional pricing for a school order and provided me with his email address so that I could send my tax exempt form, as well. When I arrived to pick up my order after work, he had written all the names on the sandwiches and his staff immediately jumped up to carry the 40 odd sandwiches to my car in 12⁰ weather. I can't tell you how much I appreciated the effort he and his team took. I am always impressed by the professionalism, efficiency and kindness that his team brings to my general lunchtime interactions, but this was above and beyond at a time when I felt overwhelmed by this task. Went into this location (Bartlett) to get food. The only person not wearing a mask is the person who is making the food. So he ask me what can he get for me? I said a mask. His response was we are optional here. So you rather not just put a mask on like everyone else while you make my food? To me that is crazy. With everything that is going on. I don’t like the mask either at all. Yet I wear it out of respect of others. When I go do work in someone’s home I have a mask on unless they say they are ok with me with out it. Again even tho I DONT NOT LIKE TO WEAR THE MASK. I still do out of respect. An this is a restaurant handling peoples FOOD! Not painting or installing drywall or whatever. Food. Thank you to those who work at this location who probably hates wearing the mask, for having more respect for others an not just about yourself in a work environment that is all about...

These employees are mask natzis while 2 feet away you have maskless people eating!! Steer clear! But go right next store to the dog father! No problem!! (We've found the masks to be very effective at doing just that in the case of COVID.) Ha! With people sitting mask free! How stupid, not only do you NOT follow the science you use literally no common sense. You are making assumptions with no scientific testing to back what you say! And furthermore take away people's civil liberties to follow after dictators! People are not bound by law to wear masks especially if they have health issues...
