Wally Waffle — Restaurant in Bath Township

Here's what happened today. I was seated around 10:30 AM, ordered an omelet with grits and toast, then started waiting. When I saw two tables behind me getting their orders, I stopped the waiter and asked the status of my order. I pointed out that the table next to me came in after me and they were already served with their food. The waiter said "you food takes longer time." The table next to me ordered omelet too, fyi. He then went to check his tablet. A few minutes later, my food came out, it was lukewarm at its best. The waiter simply said "here's your food." when he dropped them off. When I was done, I was told if I wanted to pay with card, I needed to go to the receptionist and do it myself. I had dined at this location several times before today, and I usually had Jasmine as my waitress. She was very friendly, quick (food was hot), and she always took care of my credit...

Our server was great and the food came out very quickly. The food itself was good but the experience went downhill when the windows right by our table started to be cleaned. The window cleaning solution was quite strong and one of the members in our group asked the gentleman cleaning if he could move on from our area for the moment so that we could eat without the cleaning solution being used close to us. The man moved on, but to the table right behind our table, so the cleaning solution was still be used right by us. When we informed our server, she said that we weren't the only ones that have given this feedback. It seems that this type of cleaning service would make much more sense to be done after business hours, which wouldn't be unreasonable since the restaurant...

Edit: Three years later and there's still nothing on the walls. "Hospital cafeteria" still describes the ambience. It makes no sense! The food isn't greasy anymore, so that's a good thing. I'm adding a star for great service.

FYI, get the Elvis Waffle - it's awesome.

I'm a big fan of the Highland Square location but this one is close to my house. I've been here 5 times now. The food is too greasy (I generally get bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, toast). Also, there's nothing on the walls. Nothing at all. It's like eating in a hospital cafeteria. I don't understand it. The other location is fun. This one is boring. They've been open long enough to put something on the walls. I'll update my review when they decorate the place...
