Planning a wedding long distance... not an easy task, but over this past year of 2020 it has been beyond challenging. Fortunately from our initial conversations with Mollie, the General Manager of Bath Brewing, we were quickly able to decide this was the perfect place for our first night of the big weekends' activities for welcoming our guests to town for our wedding weekend. The brewery has an awesome upstairs bar and it was perfect for what we had in mind. My fiance and I put a deposit down well in advance but as we neared the date for our October 3rd wedding the further restrictions on gatherings were impossible to surmount. We knew we were going to have to accept changing our original vision of how the weekend was going to look and adjust our plans to host the welcome event at Bath Brewing and have it at our primary venue which had the open space to gather. We kept in touch with Mollie over the several months prior to our wedding and she worked very closely with us to do as much as she could to be flexible with the menu and offer food items that traveled well. About a month before our wedding we were visiting Maine and we were able to stop in and see Mollie to finalize the details. In trying to set up a time to meet she wasn't planning to be around but made a special trip to be at Bath Brewing specifically to meet with us. It has been such a great experience meeting with our vendors personally whenever we could and have felt it truly made a difference with everyone we worked with. Mollie was extremely communicative, personable and more than accommodating. She was easy going and flexible with our schedule in setting up our delivery to the venue. Upon arriving she set up everything for us making sure the hot items stayed in the warmers for as long as possible. There were plenty of sauces for everything (sometimes there is never enough!). She brought ice for all the beer we ordered. She took care of everything...exactly what we needed. Running errands for things like ice aren't as easy when you're 20 minutes from town and BUSY with all the plans for the weekend of events. The food did travel well and the was DELICIOUS as were the half dozen beer selections! Bath Brewing & Mollie specifically were amazing to work with and we are so thankful to her for helping us put together a wonderful menu and setting the tone for our...
Read moreLiterally the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Started off not to badly. We sat downstairs and there was one waitress(bartender) serving the entire downstairs. We waited a good 15 minutes before she came over. She was busy..we understood. We quickly put our entire order in as we could see it was going to be a bit of a nightmare getting any decent service. This is where it went south. She put our orders in and completely forgot to bring our drinks. We waited another 10 minutes before I finally got up myself and went to the bar to ask her for the drinks that she forgot. She was so busy chatting up the guys at the bar that her actual job serving the restaurant took a back seat. We waited a good 30 minutes for our food and finally had to get up and ask where it was. We then got the food after a ridiculous wait. When I got my burger it was essentially raw. I had to get up with my plate and go to the kitchen window to find someone to help (our waitress did zero quality check and never came back). I flagged someone else down and they said they would get another burger out. We waited 20 minutes (my original server still had never checked in- again having to much fun behind the bar to do a quality check). I finally went to her behind the bar and said give me my bill for the beers and my wife’s food. She was completely unaware of what was happening (how would she). I got my bill, paid it, and went to McDonald’s. Worst restaurant...
Read moreWent to Bath Brewing earlier this evening for a meal before heading home. Would have been okay if we weren't completely ignored by the staff when standing and waiting by the entry. Several members looked at us and looked away as if we weren't even there and at least a couple of them carried on having their drinks tucked in their corner. Not a single person even bothered to say "hi, we'll be with in just a moment" like pretty much everywhere else would do. We were made to feel very unwelcome. What, did we look like we were diseased or something? To say we're unhappy with the poor manners of Bath Brewing's people is an understatement and what will we be telling everyone now? Don't bother going there they're not very hospitable and staff manners leave something to be desired. ...As an update. I was contacted by the manager and an apology extended, who further indicated "... I have since spoken with my staff about the importance of first impressions and greeting everyone at the door promptly, in hopes that no one is ever put in the same situation that you have been in... I would like to send you a gift card, so that next time you visit us your first round of drinks will be on us. All I need is your address and I will send the gift card out immediately." Did that ever happen? Nope. I guess they're not so concerned then. I don't care about the gift card, I just expect people to keep to their word. So that makes me wonder whether...
