Wow, what a hidden gem! My husband and I were in Bath for a few nights and had planned to go to our once-favorite pizza spot, The Cabin. We had a full day of traveling and sightseeing, and felt like we wanted a little more upscale place to relax after a long day. While walking in town we spotted Burano's - looked cozy inside and we would not have to get in the car to drive, so after reading reviews (someone actually reviewed Burano's is right up there with The Cabin) we decided to try it. We were blown away by the quality and taste of the food. We actually ended up eating there again the same week because it was soooo good. We shared the blueberry BBQ chicken wings - excellent! (and I am from Buffalo, NY, so I know my wings) - and two different pizzas (Roberto's and a custom-made with meatballs & pesto). I also ordered a seasonal salad. The salad was FANTASTIC - in fact, so good that I ordered the same salad two nights later. Fresh strawberries, goat cheese, candied walnuts, a nice greens assortment, homemade lemon poppyseed dressing that was soooo delicious. And the presentation! There must have been two different chefs the nights we went because the same salad was presented so differently the second night - but both were equally as delicious. Wish we lived closer to this place because I'd be getting their pizza and salad several times a month.

Burano's wood fired pizzeria,Maine (Bath) If Your palette craves wood fired pizza ,try the Bruno spectacular pizza 12 inch with mozzarella, prosciutto (speck) mushrooms, onion, oregano, topped with arugula, the crust had nice texture and flavor. The second pie was Margherita topped with sausage, pepperoni, red sauce, basil ,generally Margherita sauce san marzano/pomodorino, Burano's uses standard red sauce, this dough did not meet expectations since it was too thin and crumbled, too acidic, this was a miss. A side of greek salad with feta, olives, tomato, cucumbers and red onion accompany with balsamic vinaigrette which was off, greek salad dressing is simple red wine vinegar, oregano, olive oil. Burano's did not have red wine vinaigrette, staff is adequate, they don't go the extra mile, when your waiting for your wait staff to return and you ask another, they don't like help you, they say I will get your waitress, that is awful customer relations. Also outdoor patio was adequate but on hot days they should offer working patio umbrella, if it's broken, repair them. Customer are paying premium dollars for a meal, you expect excellence. If your in bath give Burano's a try.$$$

Bruno's . . . found a "gem" in Bath, just off Rt. 1 if you like brick oven pizza! On a chilly winter Sunday night, my wife and I were seated by Darcie ( Owner with her husband Rob) at a window table . . . Over looking the Bath Brewing Company across the street. Small restaurant seating, for about 20 people . . . However there's a connecting room for a sports bar with two TVs on the wall, more people there watching NFL playoff games. We preferred less noise, and stayed in the restaurant venue. We enjoyed the Greek salad, and double cooked cajun-rub wings ( baked and fried) with a sweet chili dipping sauce. Then we split a 12 inch Margherita pizza, with a "call out" on their homemade crust, fresh basil, and added extra cheese & pepperoni! Very Good ! Kudos for hanging local artists' work on their walls . . . New England scenes priced about $300 each. Nice touch! This will become a new favorite on our list of GOOD pizza restaurants for a couple's night out. (The owners mentioned new noise reduction boxes on the ceiling to help benefit customer conversations.)

I have eaten here before and liked it, but after my experience today, I doubt I will return or recommend this location. After owning my own restaurant for more than 20 years, I tend to give a little grace and understand that sometimes people have bad days, the kitchen screws up, and sometimes it's busy and parties don't get the attention they deserve. Today was none of that, today the staff made my husband and myself feel totally unwelcomed in that location. I met my husband there after I got off from work and he had pre-ordered us wings and himself a beer. When I arrived there was no more room at the bar, so we picked a 4 top out of all the empty tables in the bar near our friend who frequents the bar so we could converse with him while eating. Before we even sat down, a server rather rudely asked us to move to a 2 top. We moved and were promptly greeted by the bartender with our bill. No one asked me if I wanted something to drink, no one asked my husband if he wanted another beer, no one asked us if we were ready to order our meal. We were just presented with the bill like hurry up and eat so you can leave. I have never been so insulted and offended by an experience in a restaurant as this and can tell you that if any of my servers ever treated a customer like they didn't matter or were unwelcome, they would have a short career with my establishment. The part that bothered me the most was that it wasn't just one server, it was two. My guess is, if you aren't a regular there, they don't want...

My husband and I went to dine-in at the Bath location after previously enjoying our meal at the Hallowell location a few months back. Unfortunately, we can't comment on the pizza as we walked out before we got to order.

When we arrived one of the waitresses told us to sit wherever we wanted, near the bar or in the dining area. Both were loud with music blaring and chatting, but we decided it was easier to hear in the bar area since the dining area had an open gap in the wall looking into the kitchen where the bakers were also socializing loudly. So we picked a table towards the center of the bar area, but immediately another waitress came over and told us to find another table with only two seats with a snooty attitude while looking at us like we were insensitive to pick a table with four chairs even though the place was empty aside from a few occupied seats at the bar. We obliged and moved to the window after we were given menus offhandedly. We waited almost fifteen minutes without anyone coming to take a drink order or check in, even though all three waitresses were unoccupied and standing around chatting with some customers. A couple of times they even made eye contact with me, but quickly turned back to their conversation.

We got up and left at that point. That experience left a sour impression on us and we won't return.

All in all: rude staff, loud music, and terrible room acoustics that make it difficult to hear. To top it all off, we were given judgemental looks for...

Recently opened in down town Bath but I was waiting for my husband to get here from school in Rhode island and give them time to work out the opening kinks before giving them a shot.

Wow! Such a great addition to this small town and so excited to have it so close. We finally went on a Saturday for a late lunch/early dinner. Greeted the minute we walked in the door and our waiter was at our table within minutes to get drinks started. We chose one of the seats right up front in the window overlooking the main Street. So cute!

The menu us small and pretty short and sweet but it does not lack great options. The 8" pizza provides 4 large slices, so easy to share. The small bread sticks is enough for a table of 4 as well. The decor is great and the restaurant seemed very clean.

We ended up going with some wings (Buffalo style), an 8" Bruno and my husband made a custom 8" pie with pepperoni, ham and bacon.

I chose to try the Backyard patio pounder from the drink menu as it was described as a refreshing drink with watermelon, vodka and a hint of lemonade and wow was he right. It was subtle but delicious!

The food was on point as well. Between the cheese, the crust, the sauce. All of it was great! The prices are comparable to competitors but the flavor tops them by far. You have ample free parking behind main Street so you never have to worry about finding a spot.

Pretty sure we will be regulars in here and you will see our...
