If I could give them zero stars I would. Today was my 1st and last time dining there. My tacos were good just as the tacos I have had at other taco places. Nothing to brag about. However, a customer had her puppy at the daiquiri bar, playing with it, and passing it to several people to play with. We have a precious little emotional support puppy and we take her places with us. However, she has boundaries and I respect others may not appreciate non support animals where they are dining. MY PROBLEM IS one of the ladies that add the toppings to the tacos, burritos, etc., came from behind the counter, started rubbing, playing, and holding the puppy, and then went back behind the counter, did not wash her hands, and prepared another costumer’s burrito order. Then, helped one of her co workers restock supplies and was touching several things and areas in the kitchen. Another worker, a young man, came from outside, went behind the counter, started refilling the ice machine or putting ice in a bucket to pour over something (at this time I was gathering my stuff, to leave this place) and never washed his hands. The interior isn’t pleasing to me and I couldn’t enjoy my meal, because another customer was dining out with his son that appeared to be 9 or 10 years old. The little boy and another customer started playing basketball inside where we were dining and almost hit me with the basketball. I threw the rest (majority of my food away) and left. This Zippy’s lacks good and safe management! I’m glad I dined there, before inviting friends and family to dine...

I never leave bad reviews so this is my first. I want in and ordered a large build your own burrito for 12 dollars, which is pretty expensive for a burrito considering they used sub par ingredients compared to izzos or chipotle. They ended up making me a medium sized, then realizing they made the mistake, they took the ingredients out and put it in a large tortilla. it ended up taking like 10 minutes, so I had to wait for like 5 more people to order and get their food. When I got the burrito, it was so small. Pretty sure they even removed some of the ingredients they put in there. And I got a super tiny serving of chips, with maybe an ounce of salsa, which ran out after like 3 chips. Pretty bad experience ngl. Wanted to just get a refund after sitting down but figured it's not worth confronting someone about it. Just not going back in the future when I can get way better service and food from...

What's the deal with the Late Night Service Charge??? So... Baton Rouge lives for LSU gamedays and the amount of tourism and money they bring in for the local economy.... We stopped at this place on the way back to New Orleans because it was right before the entrance to the interstate. It was around 10:30pm. The restaurant is setup more like a bar and has a tent outside with a Fred's-like atmosphere. Everyone in line for food is from the game, like us. I don't want to hear about this charge to "compensate" their employees because the food isn't cheap for tacos and burritos. A simple quesadilla with a flour tortilla, cheese and a protein comes to $16.63...

I don't care about the money for the Late Night Service Charge, but it is the audacity of it. Can you imagine if the bars in Tigerland did this????

Also, they forgot to put in our order so we had to wait about 25 minutes...

The portion size for a single taco has *significantly* decreased. One taco is $4.75. I was done in two bites…no joke. I used to regularly purchase the taco platter which came with two (normal sized) tacos, chips, a side of rice and refried beans. This was reasonably priced and more than enough food. Unless I misread the menu, the taco platter no longer exists. I can no longer comfortably eat here when I must spend an egregious amount of money for such a small amount of food. A meal for two people was > $40. The new renovations are nice, though. The service has always been good. Just disappointed in the change in menu, the portion sizes and price for a taco!

My husband and I LOVE Zippy’s and while I love it, I have to give a 4 instead of a 5 rating bc of how disappointed I was to come home today to find my enchiladas made this way. Barely cooked with SO much cheese that it didn’t even melt all the way. Now I love cheese, but this is ridiculous. Couldn’t even eat it. Got rid of some out of the box to take a good pic. Won’t mean I won’t go back, but it’ll be a while before I order this again, if ever again.

I got a chicken chimichanga that tasted like it was fried at the bottom of a carnival dumpster from 1982. It came with rice (so hard there's almost no possible way it was cooked any time less than 24 hrs ago) and some unedible refried bean-like paste. The tap water-flavored margarita did little to wash away the sensation that I was eating a cancerous tumor that had recently been removed from the back of a clinically obese hoarder of LSU beanie babies.
