They have great Coney dogs, left the bed taste in my mouth pun intended I ordered pancakes and eggs sunny-side up. They brought my order and the egg was really running with the white on the top so I called the waitress over and told her I can't eat an egg that's all runny with the whites like that, and I stated that the cook didn't look like they knew how to cook eggs. Then she said something that was unbelievable she said the whites are always running on Sunnyside eggs. I looked at her and said I attended culinary school and no the whites are not supposed to be running on Sunnyside up eggs. She actually told me that she worked for years as a waitress and that's the way they are. To come up with an outrageous statement like that just to protect the cook is laughable. But no, we weren't done yet. I cut into the pancakes and the batter started running out. I said to the waitress, next you'll be telling me that that's the way pancakes are supposed to be, raw batter. The arrogance of these people is amazing. I noticed the cook wasn't the regular cook that was in there, but I sure wouldn't go back in there and order another breakfast like that take the chance that this same cook was there. Coney dogs are great but I wouldn't recommend but I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreGood morning! First off I want to say I have never never had horrible races service in my life, I come from customer service back ground. That is my profession of 25 years plus...... I am a Process Director of Customer Service of Omni Air International. First off they were very rude of displaying and conveying information about how or why I couldn't substitute my food. Also when I ask about the gray on the fried steak, and stating it doesn't make since to service fried steak with pork gray, and didn't even say it had pork gray. How would I know if the gray had pork when you didn't say when I asked. How would you know if a customer was allergic 🤔 to pork, on top of the hash browns were not done. I asked her not to fry my baby bacon hard because she doesn't eat hard bacon, what Hadden the bacon was hard. All around horrible customer service, will I come back yes because I believe in giving a restaurant of profession another try. So I hope this information I convey will sink in and do better with customer service, being that is our job!
Thank you and have a...
Read moreI stopped for lunch at noon and the place was fairly empty. This is a small-town diner with a large menu.
My server came right over and took my order. I went with the special, Hot Turkey with mashed potatoes and a bowl of split pea with ham soup. She brought my drink and soup right away.
The soup was really hot, but I could tell just by looking at it that I was going to like it. It was thick and full of ham chunks. You could totally tell this was a homemade soup, it was one I would get whenever it was on the menu, VERY GOOD.
After the soup, she brought me my meal, and everything looked good. The turkey was hand carved, but it looked dry to me. Good thing there was gravy on the meat because it really needed it. The mashed potatoes were good, just lacking in flavor. They really needed salt added.
Overall, I would come back, there were enough good things about this place (service, prices and homemade food) to deserve a second chance. I...
