Went into this establishment to get a bagel since I saw that it was near me and the ratings were good. Upon entering I waited in line and when it was my turn another patron went past me and started ordering at the counter, and they actually began taking their order and conversing with them — completely skipping me. I said that I was next, and while the patron apologized, the manager and cashier did not. Strike One. After I placed my order I waited for my food — I waited around 5-10 minutes and saw multiple people that ordered after me getting their food. Strike Two. I went up to the counter and spoke to a worker different than the other two to ask for the status of my order. First they asked for my name and I told them the original cashier never asked for it, which was true, then they asked what I ordered, and I told them. While they went to the manager I heard the manager say clear as day, “I accidentally gave her order to someone else. We’ll have to remake it.” and that was it. The manager nor did the worker whom I addressed came over to acknowledge and/or apologize for the mistake. Strike Three. Less than two minutes later I got my food — then the worker tried to charge me again for what I ordered. Strike Four. I told them I had already paid and just left. This was a lovely decorated establishment and I honestly wanted to dine in but as the only Black customer in this establishment the entirety of this transaction, I didn’t feel comfortable eating there and actually ate in my car. Food was palatable, the...
Read moreI'm not saying you shouldn't eat here, I just didn't have a great experience. I ordered a Egg Platter, the price wasn't made clear on the menu, and the counter person at the register didn't help. I saw the meats on the on the wrap side as far as choices, it didn't say that the prices are different depending on what you get. So I asked for Chorizo for my Platter, and I wasn't told that it was more expensive then any other meat. I just happened to notice on the register 😳 Ok so I said its fine, but told her, she should let people know when something is an additional cost. Then when I got the food everything was perfect except for the Chorizo. It was burnt and all the moisture was cooked out of it, they took the link and sliced it thin. I would suggest that they leave it whole or slice down the middle the long way so not to over cook, crispy but juicy 😋 or I also like it when you take the casing off and cook like its chopped meat. Just to end on a good note, had a bacon grilled cheese and it was made just as it should be. I would try again and hope to have a better experience. Maybe a good idea to put the prices on the daily menu...
Read moreIf you are looking for authentic Bagels, this is NOT the place to be. Their bagel dough is basically Italian bread shaped into a circle. No gummy inside like a real boiled bagel. Looking for a spread? None of them in the cabinet are labeled so you basically have no idea what spreads they offer and there is no menu to look at either.
Wondering how much stuff cost? Another mystery. There is no board that tells you how much everything is.
Want coffee? When I went there this morning, there was only one coffee choice. The other coffee had a cup over the spout. Neither of the coffees were labeled as to whether they were decaf or regular. The atmosphere is lovely. A great concept, but very poor execution. But it all comes down to the bagel... And...
