Room 990 Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Bayonne

The place was ok. I'm not in love with it. I went on a Friday night and I tried to have a good time. The music was ok, but for the most part I didn't like the music. 6 people were dancing at most in and out. It wasn't that crowded, maybe because it was a Friday. I hope they improve and eventually add on food/appetizers. The prices for the drinks were reasonable but they gave me small glasses with mostly ice inside and my drinks were finished quickly. I do like that they had a girl that checked up on us and asked us if we wanted anything. I don't love the place but I understand that it's new and I'll definitely try to visit on another day to see if they improve and if it's like this every night. If it is, then I wouldn't consider this place as a great place to party, maybe to just chill. I don't mind giving it another try since it was my first time. Maybe on some nights they have a better DJ and I went on a bad night. Maybe next time I will go on a Saturday to see if it's a little more crowded and if they have better music. It's close to home so I don't mind going there to chill every once in a while. Since they don't have any type of food, I recommend eating beforehand. Even if you potentially get bored, at least you'll be in a better mood if you had a good dinner. Honestly it's not fun when a few people are...

The reality here is... If you give this place lesser than 5star - I tell you this, you either not from Bayonne to appreciate this idea and culture diversity this gentleman (Raj) has put together. It’s a priceless feeling to walk into a place and be accepted and be treated with excite at the same with positive moral forbearance.

Antony, Ray & others locally is my suggestion, as a to go personnel’s.

If you have any issues Raj (the owner) would gladly address it right away or potentially assist you and meet your expectations.

The safety and comfort is a very important point I want to highlight.

The guards are watching, they are attentive and also supportive if they encounter you in any misunderstanding. They would try and understand and see your point of view then, solve whatever issue that took place.

Very good atmosphere and place to take your friends or even on a date for a drink. Music was excellent. More importantly, the service and staff was very attentive. I took my wife here on a Friday night and we felt immediately welcomed by the staff and manager. We went early just to have a drink before the crowds came. The wait staff really paid attention to us. Drinks are less than half the cost of what we would have to paid in nyc. Service was twice as good and the ambience and feel of the place was just on point.

Eventually the crowds showed up and the music was really good. We only planned to stay an hour or two but stayed the entire night. Had a great time out with the wife. My wife especially like the art/deco industrial design. Her drinks were mixed just perfectly and for me, the service was key.
