Deserving of zero stars. The food was gross as well as service. The server has no patience. We ordered liver and waited for fresh batch. The server went to the back and came out with it already plated but it was still just warm when we ate it because she refused to wait until the fried okra was done cooking. Also the liver still had bloody spots and onions were still hard and not cooked until soft. The mashed potatoes were barely warm after plating all our food had no flavor. We also got baked chicken and it too was flavorless and barely warm. The mack and cheese came from the back kitchen and was barely warm with no cheese. Tasted more like flour and no flavor of cheese nor seasoning. At check out I asked if they had brownies and the lady replied "no because our truck came in but we've had a heck of a bad, and no one was able to make them". Well this explains the poor quality food and service. It seems as if the restaurant was having a bad day and that reflected on the customer. I really would like my money back or some kind of compensation. People work too hard to earn money these days and for a restaurant to serve you literally trash, because that exactly what happen to our food, it's not fair. Whoever manages this restaurant is failing the task. I know Lubys has done better and has way better food then what we experienced. Sadly this is not our first bad experience with this particular store. One thing I noticed is that we've gone here around the same time, around 3 - 3:30 pm and every time we've had the same experience. So I would warn others not to go around these times because the store is actually slower and therefore there not producing fresh food and perhaps...
Read moreWe were visiting a family member at the hospital, so we walked across the street to Luby's for lunch. It's been a while since I've visited any of these, but I knew they would have a large selection to choose from. I had the turkey leg with gravy, and Sherry Ann had the salmon. I also had some fried chicken, and I know that's a lot of food, but I was pretty hungry. I got the beans and cabbage as my sides, along with a jalapeno corn bread muffin and a pistachio pudding. The chicken was by far the best thing. I'm so glad I decided to go big and add this to my meal. The turkey leg was a bit cold, and I'm sure they would have warmed it up for me, but I was too hungry to care. I ate everything I had ordered. Sherry said her salmon was dry and ate half of it, I ate the rest and it was a bit overcooked but that's only because when I cook this at home I cook it to medium, or medium well. If it was on a salad or with sauce, it would have been fine. I know that this kind of place is trying to make sure that all the food is cooked completely through, so it's not a surprise to me. I thought all the food was great, the service was spot on, and I would go back to this location again. The choices all looked great from the line, I could have gone so many different ways with my food choices, and that's why I decided to leave a review. That fried chicken though, was great, and I'm a fan of good...
