I have never been to any Jersey Mike’s before, so i have nothing to compare. I didn’t wait long with three people ahead of me, so that was good.
However while i was in line, i was kind of turned off to see meat and debris in the slicer, my sandwich bread sitting on a pile of crumbs, lettuce strewn about, and less tuna than i expected on my sub for $10. You’ll see the photo of my sub with the tuna layer, awaiting toppings, on the metal counter on a bed of the crumbs of sandwiches past. At the very least you could build it atop the paper you eventually wrap it in, and whether that’s more hygienic or not, it would make the customer feel better, or put it on the cutting board, but keep the board clean.
I will say I loved the crusty, chewy bread, but because it is sliced all the way in half, and it’s skinny bread, a lot of lettuce fell outside the sandwich.
The staff was very friendly, made me feel welcome, and they smiled a lot, so i tipped them. Maybe they’re still working on adjusting the habits that would make a tidier assembly line, or perhaps i got there just before they cleaned up. To be fair it was about 1:40pm on a busy Saturday.
Being realistic, it would be impossible when very busy to clean the slicer often, but it was unappetizing to view.
I may try another location just out of curiosity to see if this is the Jersey Mike’s operational standard. Overall the service was fast and friendly, the hygiene factor could improve. Just correct it and move forward. No need to apologize or respond to this post. I’ll stop in again very soon to check on things as i have an appointment nearby. Read moreSo I’m at the Jersey Mike’s in my hometown of Trumbull County, but I live in Stark County in North Canton build a village area now I assume since I’m from my home war I was going to get treated fairly so I walk in this Jersey Mike’s not only did they mess up my food from a couple days ago I come here to get my order replaced They treat me like A. I don’t even wanna say the word so anyways I’m sitting observing and there were more worried about a Caucasian person than it was more about me and what made it even so bad was the partner that was talking to me the god that’s partly owned in this place of Jersey Mike’s is black, but they was more worried about the other guy to help me out they messed up. The other guy sandwich made his sandwich offered him something to drink. We gave him a free beverage. Stop my conversation in the middle of talking to him to cater to the white guy. I guess he had the complexion with the connection then I ask him. Why is he more important than me when I was talking to you first and then he said oh you want a bear you want a bear that decides to give me a beverage not only did they play me on my beverage when it was time for my order to be done not only did they not have it. They messed it up again. Then when they did finish it, they didn’t even give me a bag to put it in one of the Black people that work there people of color had to help me and give me a bag and tell me have a great day. Read moreToo bad you can't review with no stars! So....I ordered online and ordered double meat and cheese seeing as I was sharing with someone. I picked up my order...got home and opened my sandwich and there was no double meat or cheese. Now mind you we have ordered the same from another location and yes it had double meat and cheese! I called and the manager said that I ordered double meat and cheese and they made the order wrong. The girl on the line said bring it back. We live 4.9 miles away! So I bring it back. They are busy. I'm ignored so I have shoutout why I have a bag on the counter and finally a girl appears putting gloves on. She opens my order and says "ya this right one layer extra of meat and cheese. I said ok. I gave her a chance to make it right and not have waist, but she never took her que to make it right. With no comment I asked for a refund. Hopefully I do get it! Now mind you we have ordered regular subs there. No difference in the quantity of meat and cheese! Her comment to me was there is a different franchise that owns the Cortland, Ohio shop. So BEWARE!!
So they contacted me saying how sorry they were, and offered me a coupon if I sent my address. Never got a coupon, and they said I won't because I got a refund. Lol!! What a joke. ( I was going to give the coupon to a stranger.....I will never step foot in that place again!) You just can't...
