The Windmill Belgian Waffles & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Beach Haven

The ice cream is decent BUT the service is really bad. We bought ice cream for our 3 kids ($20ish dollars). My daughter ordered the cookie ice cream and it came bright blue with not a single cookie chunk. Didn’t taste great. If it was even decent, she would have ate it (she literally eats everything!), but it was really not good. When I so politely told them she didn’t like it (hoping either we could get a new kind or a discount on a new one), the staff was so rude! Immediately telling me it was my fault because I didn’t ask for a sample. The manager came out and said “do you want to purchase a new one or not?” I ended up paying for a full replacement - which honestly would have been ok from the beginning if their response was kind instead of defensive and accusatory. I have never had treatment like that from an ice real shop. There are so many choices for ice cream on the island - from now on, we’ll choose one with kind workers that appreciate...

The Windmill on LBI is THE place to get ice cream! Located in Bay Village, this shop is full of friendly faces and delicious ice cream flavors. During our frequent trips to the shop, we enjoyed vanilla, cookies n’ cream, sweet and salty, rocky road, strawberry, black raspberry, and cookie dough. It’s almost impossible to pick a favorite but I would have to go with the waffle topped with a scoop of each strawberry and black raspberry ice cream, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream. Ah-maze-ing!!! Can’t wait to try more flavors next...
