Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Beaumont

Service slow...thought all was good seated fast..water came fast.. but then...... waited for dinner way to longer, we were there way longer then should have...we were there 2hrs.. ribs came in 20 plus... She kept telling us they were coming. asked many times for sauce.. after 1st came waited 20 plus minutes for sauce for them. by then 2nd plate of ribs cames n said i m waiting for sauce for the 1st so i can eat the rib i have left from 1st plate...oh,she said they did not bring it??. But she was by our table many times waiting n talking with other customers...not one time asked us if we needed anything.. I asked if she takes our bill for us.. yes she said..but did not... after 10 minutes waited to pay check.. I finally figured out how to pay on table.. she finally came by .. I said I paid thru on table.. ohhh. Took tip n left.. said Thank u.. We tip 20 percent... we were not rude not demanding.. but I was pretty upset when we left.. but only showed that side to hostess.. but not rude.. just told her I should not have to get my own bag n box.. she agreed.. told her to have a good night... our waitress Did not ask if we needed bag or box??. then I had to go get a bag for the cold rib that had setting on the plate I went front no one there so was getting a bag behind hostess table... hostess came asked if she could help me. told her I was getting abag for this rib.. she asked if i would like a box..yes.. was happy about that ..BUT will Never go back to Applebees in Banning..Never...I know places get busy.. alot of patrons in.. alot of drinks from bar.. many helpers.. I know places get short handed.. but they need to acknowledge the patrons. Was not a...

First of all, I would like to start out by saying the service from our fantastic waiter, Jonathon, was 5 stars! He was seriously what saved the evening. So, my husband and I (with our 3 year old daughter) have been living on the awesome experience from our date 2 years ago at this same Applebee's when we got awesome ribeye steaks, sweet potato fries and desserts in tumblers. Since we live abroad we were completely unaware of the fact that our ideas of a fantastic meal at Applebee's were about to be dashed. We had planned on repeating this great experience on Christmas eve. When we'd been seated and started looking at the menu, we found it was all changed and there were neither ribeye steaks or sweet potato fries 😢 Jonathon suggested a New York strip steak with mushrooms and potatoes (of which my hub ordered fries instead) and we waited anxiously for our food to show up. My husband's meat was raw (we'd ordered medium rare) and Jonathon was quick to have it cooked some more. The cooks forgot that he had ordered fries and the dish came with regular cut up potatoes on it. We didn't want to waste food, so didn't say anything (but Jonathon noticed this and got him a plate of fries instead). The meal was totally tasteless. The meat wasn't tasty at all, the consistency being chewy and not very appealing. By the time we finished our meal, we were ready to leave and didn't even go for dessert. It's sad that "upper/central" management has taken off such good dishes. We will not plan Applebee's into our next travel plans...

Upon arriving our waiter was very inpatient while we were deciding what drinks to order. She rudely interrupted us while we were trying to order and walked away from us. When she came back we put in 2 orders for alcoholic drinks one for me and one for my sister, which she provided I.D for and my husband went ahead to grab mine from the car, when he came back I gave her my I.D and she went as far as to make an assumption that my sister gave me her I.D to use for my alcoholic drink. She as well questioned me with my name and date of birth which made me feel very uncomfortable. When ordering our food my sister wanted a side of kids Mac and cheese and the server refused to put in that order for the reason being that my sister isn’t a kid (mind you we have gone to different locations of Applebees and they have never had a problem with us ordering a side of kids Mac and cheese). We took it upon ourselves to leave due to the rude attitude and treatment that we received from this waiter. Unfortunately she never gave us a name but she looks to be the oldest female waiter there. We definitely felt discriminated and we will be contacting corporate about this incident. This lady is a liability for business. Never going back to this...
