McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Beaumont

I expected a lot more from this place considering the high reviews. Though the restaurant was pretty clean and the costumer service was nice, it’s clear that the kitchen doesn’t really do well with modifications or having food out in a timely manner. Our food took almost 30 minutes to come out despite having barely any costumers in the restaurant. When it came to the modifications, I ended up ordering the Four cheese sandwich and when the cashier asked me if I wanted tomato or not, and I said no. As if you could imagine, there was tomato on my sandwich and I’m definitely not a fan of tomatoes. Not only was my food messed up but my sister and father also didn’t get what they requested. My sister ordered a potato and the cashier told her that a standard potato came with butter and sour cream. In the end the bacon on her potato was burnt, and despite sour cream being standard, there was none on her potato. When it came to my father he ordered a salad that came with vinaigrette dressing, he requested ranch instead. As you can tell by the contents of this review, he also didn’t receive his ranch. So I really don’t know if they were having a bad day today in the kitchen, but me nor my family enjoyed our food. So all together I’m not saying that this is a bad restaurant or that you shouldn’t eat here, I just wanted to share my experience with anyone who wanted to try...

An absolute disgrace of a business. It cost more to order a half of a sandwich and side as it does for a full sandwich and side. I just paid close to $13 for a half sandwich and side and drink to be given this. I brought it to them immdeatily to fix. I didn’t just pay $13 for this meal to be handed this pitiful wrap. Which wasn’t even wrapped properly to even look like a wrap. It literally had maybe three pieces of lettuce, few slices of chicken. Can’t believe someone put this together thinking this was acceptable, handed this off to someone off to deliver who also thought this was presentable to give to a guest. “Fixes” it and says is this better?! No. They literally didn’t not add to it but rewrapped it. I ask for a refund. Which I might add, took almost 20 mins to receive something that is a cold sandwich and heated up Mac and cheese. Now I have to leave to find lunch elsewhere. I tell the manager how ridiculous this is on the cost and that it looked liked that. Her response was “she wish she could do something about it” I understand they cannot change prices but you sure as heck can produce better quality food. You literally can do something about...

We "stumbled" on to McAlister's a couple of years ago, having driven by for years and not paid it much attention prior, primarily due to my desire to patronize a local business being managed by a friend and customer, Josh Cole. It has since become our favorite place to dine - not because of the food, which is certainly tasty - but because of the culture, the ambience, and the phenomenal staff. Starting from the top down (Josh), to his management team (Tyler and Frances are our favorites), to his other wonderful employees (Ty is a rock star!) - they make the experience what it is. We've since dined at several McAlister's across the country in traveling, and none of them can meet the expectations that this location has set for us - great job to this team!
