I ordered a 🍰 for my wife's 47th birthday. I came to this store 1 day before the due date and asked for a sample, none was provided, so I asked for a mini cake that I purchased, according to them it was a replica of the bigger white cake my wife wanted. The cup cake was terrible, the amount of icing that swallowed the cake was sweeter than eating a spoon of pure sugar, and when I separated the cake from all of the icing it could hardly be found, if you're following me I had more icing than cake so the cake became 2nd and the icing took the Star of the show, it was icing with a little cake. Fast forward a few minutes later I disregarded half of the cake and asked the lady in the front to customize my order. I asked for a thin layer of butter cream icing on the top and cream cheese in the center... I informed them as of why. The following day I picked up the cake, I was told no returns on orders, I said cool Because I spent 10 dollars the day before to try it and customized it so no issue right, wrong. Family at the table and candles lit we sung happy birthday and cut the cake in multiple slices and distributed them, we discovered the cake was not adjusted to our requests and everyone did the same thing I did to the sample at the store and began removing the multiple layers of frosting to get a tiny piece of cake to try to make the ratio of cake and icing normal. We threw away more than we ate ... I called the bakery and spoke to supervision and asked them to make things right. I was called the next day and was interrogated about the cake, they asked me to bring it in, I had a small 6 in cake, we cut it up into plate sizes and distributed the cake to everyone, so it was basically gone, it was after everyone tried it did we realize they screwed it up. They took no responsibility for their flaw, being honest as far as taste and quality this place ain't it, Little Debbie with extra frosting, or box cake quality. You cake tell the pretty frosting is covering up the lack of love going into the product..... Don't let them ruin your event... Bunt cake is near bye, very good quality..... Also we could not taste the cream cheese filling at all, it tasted like butter cream sugar I meant frosting... Poor job, expensive.... If it comes down to box cake for ten dollars or 40 on this get the box, tastes the same and you can...
Read moreUPDATE: They are claiming my experience isn't real. In fact it is, and my bank statement from Mobiloil goes back years to prove that I had only been there once (due to the experience) in the years of growing up and living in the area. Also that this was the ONLY location I had visited, so I am not mistaking it for another.
Unless you have another location across the street from Parkdale that served cookies that tasted like cardboard, coffee that never came, a barista who rolled her eyes when confronted, and a manager that never made it right???
Whether it was years ago or yesterday is irrelevant. It doesn't lessen the unpleasant experience that I did have. And it appears that the manager (or management if the manager I spoke with is no longer there) is still terrible. So my review still holds much relevance. Also review sites weren't as common those years.
And I do recommend anyone who experiences medical discrimination to sue. Yes. And I will be finding anyone who has been or is and contributing to their legal expenses to see that justice prevails.
Also, if using medically acceptable terms is foul, then that just adds to your ignorance.
Lastly, is it true that you tried encouraging an employee from exposing that she tested positive for Covid-19 to keep it from negatively impacting your business, and by doing so may have caused potential transmission to others or at the very least prevented those who they may have contacted from being made known? Because this would only add further to the medical discrimination suit and would ensure a win. Either way, no need to answer and feel free to lie, as this would be easy to uncover through subpoena and discovery to list any active employees throughout the entire time of Covid-19 and reveal any Positives (or known exposures) from there, if it comes to that.
Ate here once a while back. Is wasn’t that good, and the manager was rude.

Read moreOnce again (4th attempt at using this place for special occasions for my customers! NEVER AGAIN!! AND the manager called me last time and assured me they would fix the problem with their staff..... NOPE!!! I ordered ONLINE so it would be ready when i arrived. Got there, no one knew anything about my order... started making it right then (hours later) and was putting my order, for one customer, in 4 different SMALL boxes. I stopped them and asked first WHY wasn't it ready? "Well this order came up on two different screens".?????? What does that even mean????????
Then I asked why it wasn't put on ONE tray? I was told, "That costs extra" REALLY????? WELL OK! I'LL PAY XTRA BUT.... after MESSING UP MY ORDER FOR THE FOURTH TIME, I'd think a $3 charge would be waived????? But whatever!!!! And took them FOREVER to complete it!!!! Went and sat in my car and when i came in to get it. I picked up the tray and it looked "light" compared to what i had ordered. I stopped at a table and pulled out my receipt and sure enough they had left off 2 items!!!! Brought it back to the same girl, she hands me a bag with the alleged items in it....I gave it right back to her and explained AGAIN, "please maam put it in the tray". She did and there was ONE ITEM still missing!! She didn't even READ the receipt!!!! By this time I'm thinking I'm on some reality TV show and the crew is about to come out...... but NO!!! It is truly the incompetence of this business and its staff!!!!!!!!
Never ever ever ever again!!!!!! Avoid like the plague!!!
