Graeter's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Beavercreek

My husband and I are regulars here and part of the rewards program. Management - please please please ENSURE your employees are paying attention to what the customers are ordering. I specifically asked for a strawberry sundae vanilla ice cream with everything on it (everything means pecans, whipped cream, and a cherry). I never verbally asked for a strawberry shortcake sundae. It was not what I was expecting to scoop out of my sundae cup and threw me off completely. Needless to say, I had to throw it away because the texture was off. I do not like cake mixed in with ice cream. When I called Graeters, one of the employees said “oh sorry, we must have gotten confused and thought you wanted a strawberry shortcake sundae.” The employees should not be confused or mess up orders especially when this was a simple order. Other times, when I ordered this sundae, the pecans were missing. Also, when the customer orders a milkshake for example, your employees should not be asking each time if they want whipped cream for an additional charge. If the customer wants that, they will specifically say so when ordering. It becomes quite redundant and annoying for customers to have to hear that each time. From observation, we can tell the employees are young and perhaps this is their first job experience, but they need to be mindful in listening to what the customers are ordering. I’ve only ever gotten take out here. So I’ve never gotten to really sit and enjoy this location. But every time I’ve experienced some of the nicest, friendliest service that I’ve ever received from any kind of establishment. So a big thank you to this location for that!

If you’ve never managed to visit a Graeter’s before, I hope you will. They are known for their enormous chocolate chips. Believe me, They’re life changing. You won’t want your ice cream any other way ever again.

Also, they offer a wide array of flavors. They’re really famous for their Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip. Even if you think you won’t like it, just ask for a sample. Because it’s surprisingly awesome and one of my go-tos. Some of my other favorites include Black Cherry Chocolate Chip and Buckeye Blitz (Chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips and balls of peanut butter). They also offer rotating seasonal flavors - Pumpkin, Cinnamon, Strawberry Cheesecake, just to name a few.

They’re also awesome at classic sundaes. Their hot fudge sauce is fantastic, their butterscotch is delicious and I always have to get some of their chocolate sprinkles. I will also mention that their whipped cream doesn’t come from a can. It’s always freshly made and...

So, I called to reserve a black raspberry chip icecream cake and the employee said they would reserve one for me for the next day. Well, when I went to pick it up, there was a mixup and they did not have the cake. They crew could have just said, “Sorry and have a nice day,” but they did not. They called the other area stores to see if they had one. When they discovered there were none in the Dayton area, they called the West Chester store and they had ONE left. The manager of the Beavercreek location said that he would drive to West Chester and pickup the cake and bring it back on dry ice.
