COSTLY BUT NOT QUALITY! I bought the Kennedy sofa and loveseat as a set about 2 years ago and I expected that it would last. La-Z-Boy is expensive furniture and they say it’s because their furniture is superior in quality and construction. I have a bar sticking out of the bottom of my couch! I myself have stubbed my toe on it unexpectedly, but it’s happened to my child as well. Makes me feel so bad. When I called their customer support, I was told I have to call the store where I bought the furniture. I have called the store a couple of times, but the service/warranty department only works very limited hours. I’m so disappointed. Buyer Beware!
After I wrote the above review (that never appeared on their website even though I submitted it there too) I got a email from their customer service. I gave them all the necessary information, I was advised to call their customer care and schedule to have a technician come out to make the repairs. I called to make an appointment and I was informed that only the parts are covered and I would be responsible for labor. The labor charge is $160 per hour!!!! I would have to pay to have the technician come inspect and order parts then pay the technician to come back and make the repairs. NO maximum for labor! I do not believe for one second they pay their technicians $160 per hour! I’m expected to pay for their poorly constructed inferior product. No thanks!    Read moreAwful customer service experience. Father in-law ordered two recliners 10/31/20 and was told 12-14 weeks for delivery. It's now been 16 weeks. I called to check on the order and was told that the fabric was out of stock and that we would have to choose a different fabric and wait another few months for the chairs. We understand that this happens but from what I gathered over the phone, it seems that they knew about the fabric in December and no one called to tell us. They made no offer to try and make this right by discounting the order. Can't believe that any store like this could stay in business treating people in such a way. We have purchased several items from them in the past but will no longer make this mistake. La-Z-Boy is not what it used to be.
Update: Visited the store today to get a refund on the purchase. Justin the store manager was very contrite and didn't point fingers at anyone other than himself. He said "we dropped the ball". He asked us to consider re-ordering our chairs since the other order couldn't be fulfilled due to the fabric issue. He not only offered us a discount on the order, but he also offered to deliver them for no charge. We decided to wait it out a little longer and will hopefully be getting the chairs in 4 to 6 weeks.    Read moreThis will be the second purchase that we have made from La-Z-Boy, and probably our last. We went in to look at a recliner the same as the one we have, but with electric. The saleswoman took us over to the chair and we tried it and liked it. We started doing the paperwork with the saleswoman. She informed us the fabric we wanted was on backorder and it was going to be about 12 weeks before it would be ready. Not wanting to wait that long for a chair, we were informed that if we picked a fabric they had on stock, it would be about 4-6 weeks. We decided to go ahead and pick a different fabric. All the paperwork was completed, we paid in full and left the store thinking we would be able to pick up our chair in 4-6 weeks at the store. This was on about June 25th, 2020. Fast forward to today, September 5th, 2020 and we still have no chair. We have called 3 times now trying to figure out where the chair is and the only thing we have been told was that someone would get back to us. Yet no one has. Yesterday I spoke to a different person and was told we are looking at at least another 2 weeks before it would be leaving the manufacturer!!! At this point, if i don't have a chair in 2 weeks, im tempted to cancel the order and go to Ashley...
