After a long day of practicing with our son's service dog at 4 paws we went to longhorns. We ordered a head with a app on our phone and picked it up. They brought the food out to our car so we wouldn't have to come in. The person who handles our food and drinks were very thoughtful they gave us a cup holder's good solid bags for the food. They gave us utensils as well as straws. We greatly appreciated this.
We ordered a steak medium rare as as well as stuffed mushrooms. It came with a side of mashed potatoes too. It was big enough for both my husband and I to share the steak and the potatoes as well as mushrooms. The kids ordered something else but I can't remember what it was. I just knew that they liked They're meal and it was not steak and it came with fries and potatoes.
Anyway back to the steak it was good but it was not as juicy as I thought it would be. Some parts of the state were overcooked while others were perfect. Sadly for my husband he got to the more overcooked side. It was enjoyable but it needed a little more seasoning.
The stuffed mushrooms were like eating little pieces of heaven. They had delectable cream cheese and other hidden joys inside of the. I am still craving these wonderful overstuffed mushrooms. Those are 5 star mushrooms people they're that good.
The mashed potatoes were also good. They had a different feeling to them than most mashed potato. They were nice smooth and creamy It kind of reminded me of going through a mixer with the texture. There were absolutely no Clumps. It had a seasoning I had never Tried before both my husband and I like it.
We ended up coming here several times just for the mushrooms alone. It does take some time for them to make your order but if you're waiting inside your hotel it doesn't really matter. If you will get a text when your food is close to ready and that's when we...
Read moreJust returned from my birthday dinner. I stupidly picked this place. I got there, was seated, and proceeded to not be greeted by a server. This guy came in with his kid five minutes after me and this server darn near broke her neck to get over there to talk to him. I was incredulous. I’d been sitting there, didn’t have so much as a water and she just started blathering on to this guy. A couple of minutes into her long conversation, she literally tossed a couple of coasters like they were frisbees, said she would be right with me and THEN launched into a diatribe about how she had been to the ER because she had chest pains…blah, blah, blah. I could go into detail, but I didn’t want to hear it, so I know nobody wants to read it. When my partner arrived, this woman was nowhere to be found. We had to find someone else to get us drinks. THEN she pops up, finally introduces herself (it’s Amanda. Run, don’t walk, away from her section) and we ordered our food. We both got French Onion Soup that was so cold the cheese wasn’t even melted. They took that back and it came back marginally warmer. We get our steaks and mine was overcooked, but I couldn’t complain about that AND the ice cold baked potato, so I chose the potato. Someone allegedly turned off the steamer. Don’t you just hate when that happens? I’ll I asked for hot fries instead, because I had finally learned that one must specify that one prefers cooked food to be hot. Those managed to come after I was done eating. Woot! But they were hot. Somebody had the sense to give us an employee discount. It still cost too much for the aggravation and miserable service we got. You know when Amanda was the most attentive? When we asked for the check. She got right on that and it was the only time all night that she really did “come...
Read moreIt had been years since eating here at this location, The food wasn’t amazing, wile everything came out warm I wouldn’t call it hot and it felt like over priced hospital cafeteria food. The booths are worn out and while Im a little overweight I’m not obese I shouldn’t have bottomed out the booth seat. Our server was nice and most of our food was out in a timely manor the last time potatoes took so long 1,000,000 Irish died, might consider topping a pile of mashed potato with some whipped cream and a cherry or a baked potato dusted with powder sugar and chocolate sauce and officially give it its place on the desert menu. Would have said something to management but I never saw one. Also everything seems very dingy and not the rustic cattle camp dingy the decor the brand is known for. I think these aged restaurants could use an impartial 3rd party to come into the restaurant and mark issues like where paint has been rubbed down or missing parts of tables or booths or worn out seats, and flooring then make a plan gather all the supplies take a week and a half or 2 week shut down and repair/replace/recondition. It would also give you a chance to replace HVAC equipment or the lighting that was blinking on the way to the bathroom.
This quality would be fine in Wilmington ohio or Xenia or Lebanon, but there are much better options in the mall area, I don’t think I will be returning to this location. I don’t feel that the food and experience was with the money spent. If you are really in the mood for some good longhorn go to grove city, if you want great food pick a different neighboring restaurant. If you want great food and a great experience go...
