Milano's Pizza, Subs & Taps (Beavercreek) — Restaurant in Beavercreek

My husband and I have been going to this Milanos for 10 years. We always order the same thing,a deluxe or pizza with ham and pineapples and instead of pizza sauce, it's made with BBQ sauce. They have always been delicious. We ordered the ham and pineapple pizza tonight.My husband went inside to pick it up and didn't look at the pizza because we've never received a bad pizza from them and just never thought to do it. We live 20 miles away one way from the restaurant so 40 mile trip for us. We get home and open the pizza and it is completely burnt up,not edible. We call and ask them to remake the pizza and we'll make the 40 mile round trip again but we believe we should get a free pizza next time or at least one at a discounted price for all the inconvenience on our part. The manager we talked to over the phone was very nasty and said she could not refund our money,we never asked for a refund.She said the next pizza we ordered from there would be on food credit. Nothing was written down so we just have to believe they will honor their word. So after hanging up ,they forgot to hang their phone up and we could hear them laughing and snickering and we believe it was the manager, or at least we were told that,say I just yelled back at them.My husband complained,never yelled. We drive back,we get there,walk in and was greeted.by someone named Anthony. We took the pizza they gave us back so they could see how burnt up it was. He said they had been very busy and it looked like it was sent through twice. He actually said some people order their pizza like that. My husband commented then why don't you give this pizza to them.We thought that was the end of it. We get home and the pizza wasn't burnt but it was not the pizza we originally ordered. It was a completely different pizza and had so many onions on it I was unable to eat it due to stomach issues I have. My husband had a couple of small pieces and finally gave up on it. It was horrible. We called back and complained to the same woman we had talked to earlier. She was very nasty again and it didn't seem to bother her at all that a customer was very unhappy with their food, and their service. We will not return ,maybe a different Milanos but definitely not this one. We decided to stop in here for dinner and boy was it a mistake. The restaurant was rather busy but we did get seats fairly quickly. The waitress came and took our drink orders and delivered them to the table and left three straws that look like they have been dipped in a bucket of water which is not really how you want to start a meal.

We ordered appetizers of fried pickles and the onion petals to start our meal. Both of the appetizers came out in about 10 minutes and that is where anything positive ended. The fried pickles or paper thin slices with very thick breading and had zero pickle paste. The onion pedals were overcooked in crunchy and you couldn't really taste any onions.

I ordered the super cheesesteak with spicy mayo and added jalapenos and got a side salad with house Italian dressing. My wife ordered the turkey sub with just turkey lettuce and tomato with a side salad with French dressing. My daughter ordered a create your own small pizza with pepperoni and green olives and a side salad with ranch dressing. The salads were brought to the table first and my wife did not get her French dressing and had to wait about 10 minutes for the waitress to come back over to get her the correct dressing. Nothing complain about what the salads but they weren't anything to write home about.

When our food came it looked good but did not live up to the looks. My cheesesteak was bland without seasoning and had a miniscule amount of cheese. The bread was hard on the outside and the inside had very little taste so I just ended up eating the filling with a fork. There was nothing super about this cheesesteak. If you're looking for a good cheesesteak go to Jersey Mike's or someplace other than this. My wife's sub had a very paper-thin piece of turkey on it a couple slices of tomato and some lettuce. My wife is not a real exciting eater but was very underwhelmed by this sandwich also. My daughter's pizza looked good and the toppings were good quality but the crust of this pizza was was doughy and flavorless. To top it off I think they waved the sauce over the pizza and forgot to actually put any on the pizza. Overall this was a very underwhelming and underappreciated meal.

BLACK MOLD!!! Went there to have a nice dinner with my girlfriend and came out completely displeased. Everything was going decently fine until my girlfriend looked down into her cup and realized there was a ring of black mold in it. We were very concerned and asked for a manager to come over and take a look. She (I forget her name. Middle aged lady with mid length brown hair. Forgot to mention she was actually the one to give us our waters before the waitress came and took our order.) came over, took the cup, said she would be right back, and left. 20 minutes goes by and she never came back, we got the bill, payed, and left. Just an hour after we left my girlfriend started feeling sick and we figured it was from the cup. We assumed she would be fine and it would pass but the next day she started having extremely terrible stomach pains and soon after had a very bloody stool. I didnt hesitate to take her to the ER because it was very disturbing. The doctor ended up stating that it was lower gastrointestinal bleeding due to the mold. As of right now she still isnt doing any better and in fact doing a little worse now. We might have to take another trip to the hospital soon. Im beyond disgusted and can only imagine what that kitchen looks like if they are oblivious to a moldy cup and giving to a customer. I dont think we will be going here again after all of this.
