A few years back, this restaurant was run by an older couple. The food was outstanding. They returned to China I believe. Since then the place has been awful. Decided to try again tonight. Wow, even worse then before. Ordered spare ribs. Received boneless ribs instead that where among the worst ever. Strong lemon taste overpowered the hoisen sauce. Every other dish was tasteless and soggy. Wonton soup that had wontons that tasted like they were in the broth overnight. Pork Lo Mein that had the most overcooked noodles ever. General Tso's that had a bland brown sauce and soggy as all get out. A disgusting pork fried rice that was tasteless and had short grain rice and almost no pork for the low price of ten bucks.. What a shame the old owners had the best fried rice ever. Really this place has food that tastes like it came out of a can or Kroger's freezer section. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place use to be my favorite Chinese restaurant in Beavercreek! My first experience wasn't so good but that was a flook. The restaurant use to be run by a couple who recently sold it and now it's under knew ownership andand management. The buffet pricing is still the same, the new owners seem really nice but the food in my opinion isn't nearly as good. Not bad but there are small things that make a big difference. For example, the cabbage inside the egg roles tastes bad, there crab Rangoon isn't as good. The buffet doesn't stay as fresh as it use to (probably because the original ownership had it down to a science). I will say I might be a little biased since I REALLY liked the last owner's food so make your own judgement. Even though it's not as good, it could definitly be MUCH worse, trust me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThought I'd try a new place. Service was good and the restaurant was average cleanliness. But, worst general tso's chicken I have had. Not like it was cheap either at $11.50, only coming with a side of white rice. Like it was made with scraps left in the pan all night after carving a turkey. All dry and chewy and a dull grey color and not one piece of white chicken. After looking at the menu again I see it's a $2 upcharge for edible chicken? I only took a bite out of a few pieces and wanted to trash it. Wife had szechuan chicken and wasn't terrible, and the crab rangoons were good. I'll just stick to the old faithful for me and which I won't name but is at Colonel Glenn and Grange Hall. š By the way, all white meat chicken general tso's there is $8.75 and comes with fried rice...
