Mixed Experience, but Worth It for the Mutton Biryani!
I recently visited this restaurant with high hopes, especially for their Hyderabadi flavors. Here’s a quick breakdown of my experience:
Appetizers: • Apollo Fish was just average. Instead of the usual crisp texture, it came with a gravy-like consistency, which took away from the dish’s expected appeal. • Chicken Majestic (Megistric) was disappointing. It resembled a basic chicken fry and didn’t live up to the authentic Hyderabadi version. Definitely below average.
Main Course: • Chicken Dum Biryani had great flavor, but the masala was surprisingly minimal. If you’re ordering this, definitely ask for extra masala to enhance the taste. • Mutton Dum Biryani was the clear winner. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and rich – I’d honestly return just for this dish. Highly recommended!
Other Observations: • The portion sizes are generous – definitely value for money when it comes to quantity. • Service is quick, even with the crowd, which is impressive. • Speaking of which, the place tends to be very crowded, and unfortunately, cleanliness isn’t their strong point. The space could use more maintenance. • Plenty of parking available, which is a huge plus. • They also have a wide variety of sweets and desserts, so save room for some after your meal. • Bonus: There’s a grocery section attached with almost everything you’d need, which is super convenient.
Overall Verdict: If you’re craving good mutton biryani, this place delivers. However, temper expectations for starters and be prepared for a crowded, not-so-clean environment. Fast service and big portions make it worth a visit – just stick to what...
Read moreThis place has the best tasting food hands down on that, but do they provide a good customer service? I doubt that. Instead of being delays and confusion in orders I stick to this place due to the quality of food the kitchen staff offers. If that's the only reason which we take in consideration I would have given full star to this place. I go to this place almost every week twice or thrice. Last time I went there ,something happened which I thought should be brought up to everyone.
I went in, it was super busy, I placed my order waited for a good 20-25 minutes and then went on to ask if my food is ready the one guy behind the counter whom everyone among other staff were calling Venkat. I showed this guy my receipt, he looked very frustrated maybe cause it was busy, this was his real words "We have lots of orders already you will have to wait for sometime" I was like okay cool but how much time? He replied, "I'll call you once it is ready" I said okay and he didn't realize that I was still standing there and he turned and abused me, I heard it but he didn't realize that. I didn't say anything to him at that time. But I just want to ask if this is what you call customer service? Being hubristic of your food and neglecting customer service to the fullest? I don't think I will ever be going to that place again, I used to like it for the food but now there is much more served there apart from food. People really need to learn some work ethics and they need to hire people who are patient and...
Read moreThis is an Indian restaurant/grocery store combined. The food and sweets are on the left, grocery items/veggies are on the right. The food is phenomenal. This is by far one of the best Indian food I have had. The to go biryani container is packed so tight that it is cellophane wrapped to prevent spilling out, that’s how much food they give you. I get one full serving of biryani under $20 and that gets me 4-5meals. The flavor just explodes in your mouth, the rice grain perfectly cooked and the meat tender and well seasoned. I have tried several other dishes, goat curry, dosa, samosas, various chutneys, chai, etc. The samosas are under $2 each, cheapest I have found in the Northwest! They don’t have fresh naan but they do have chapatis. If you are getting it to go, you can grab frozen naan from the store side-it still tastes amazing. The staff are kind, efficient and very pleasant. I have been offered various snack items or sweet deserts as samples and they are always ready to help with any questions you may have. The line to order is always really long and almost all the time when you phone in an order, it takes a while because they are so backed up but it’s honestly totally wait the worth. There are a few seatings if you...
