came here recently in search of a new dining set and possibly a sectional. they don’t have a variety of styles, mostly just mid century and contemporary, but they have a lot of options. we went through half the store and spent an hour just looking! no complaints though. ultimately, we decided on the Hendrick dining table and chairs. Annie helped us with ordering, they were out of stock at that moment and she let us know it would be a month and a half wait. no problem, we put down a down payment, we also chose to have it delivered and assembled in our home so she helped get that set up.
a month and a half later, Annie contacted me that our dining set was ready, so we set up a delivery date and later we headed to the store to finish the payment. we payed in full so i’m not sure how good they’re financing program is, but they do offer one. Rio helped us finish that up and she was very lovely as well. she informed us that we would be messaged a 3 hour window of the delivery. the day came and we got the message, my only complaint is the delivery arrived nearly an hour early so i had to rush home to let them in, but im guessing that’s more fault on the delivery service. they assembled it like we were told, and everything went well. i’ve had the dining table for 3 months now and it’s holding up great, very comfortable.
overall, my experience here was great. the process was very smooth and convenient. the prices are fair and the furniture is very comfortable. the store was clean, quiet, and accessible. the staff are friendly as well....
Read moreWe support local business with our local dollars, but we expect a reasonable value for our dollar and that defects will be managed to protect the reputation of the retailer. Unfortunately, this has not been our experience when going to Dania over many years, and many pieces purchased for our home and business. You may as well shop ikea, because you can't count on quality being the rule at Dania, and you can't count on them standing behind products in the long run. We have a desk chair that appeared to be leather, but was actually leatherette. Be warned: Dania no longer carries the manufacturer and only provides manufacturers warranty. When the chair delaminated, they offered no assistance, except providing the manufacturer's name and the name of the product. We also own two real leather benches that have buttons in the upholstery. They sit on each side of our dining table and get equal wear. One bench started losing buttons right away, and was replaced on warranty. As years went on, only one bench continued to lose almost all its' buttons, while the other has lost none. This is clearly a defect, given the equal use of the benches. Dania no longer carries this brand, either, and will not pay for the buttons to be put back by a pro. Long and short of it is, you may as well go to Ikea, pay less, and plan for your furniture to be disposable in 5 years, because you can't count on quality to hold-up at Dania, and they will not stand behind it. You will pay more at Dania for questionable quality....
Read moreTwo months ago, we bought a media console and a bench at Dania: Great experience overall, Rufus was friendly, knowledgeable and made everything feel easy.
Today I went back to look for a buffet or a credenza. I was welcomed by Annette. The two other salesmen at the front desk looked bored and leaning on the counter like they were ready to take a nap. She didn't seem to know what they have on the floor when I told her that I was looking for. I was motivated to find something this week, and I had a pretty clear idea of the style I was interested in, basically made of brushed metal or, if made of wood, in a different color like Charcoal/Grey/white * I already have to much wooden pieces in the dining room so nothing brown please :)). She commented back by saying "Oh those are expensive." That's it. I was puzzled by that comment, which is not helpful the slightest. I also felt like she was trying to get us out the door quickly (maybe because it was lunch time?). I left quickly. It would be a 5 stars review if it was based on our first time going to the store. This second time around I didn't feel welcomed or helped.
UPDATE: The manager of Dania furniture reached out the same week and offered an apology + help. He also sent an email with a suggestion for a credenza, which was the only one that had all the criterions we had in mind (probably why Annette couldn’t help?). We ended up not going for that one - but we did appreciate that they reached out to us. We will...
