Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Beaverton

Came in with my family, had two ladies right by the door that greeted us awkwardly. They said hi and then just started talking to each other didn’t ask us how big our party is or how long of a wait or hold on, nothing.. after standing there for about 3 minutes she then says follow me, I then request for a booth since my wife has a bad back from a car accident. We get a booth and had our server come to get our drinks I order just a bottle of corona, my wife orders a double shot Tito’s and sprite drink and my lil brother orders their strawberry blue drink. Takes about 20 minutes for our drinks to come out. While waiting for our drinks for about 14 mins in, we get our orders taken. Server was very “bland” no smile no nothing. Definitely brought the mood down. The music playing was very down as well. The overall atmosphere was pretty depressing. All servers other than the bar people were just standing around and some even just flirting with each other. Pretty embarrassing if you ask me, very unprofessional. After waiting for about 40 minutes we get our food. I ordered their whiskey bacon burger, was alright enough to finish it but not good enough that I’d order it again, fries were alright, BK fries are better. My wife orders the half rack of ribs, SUPER overcooked, DRY and barely any meat on it, VERY disappointing. My little brother ordered the 4 cheese Mac and cheese, he said the chicken was alright but the pasta was undercooked and the sauce didn’t taste very good. Just before we’re about to leave my brother had like 4 pieces of pasta left on his plate and was asked if he wants a box? Wtf? Lowkey felt a little racist toward us. She gave better service to “white” customers. A white couple even got more attention and their food way before us even though they came in 10 minutes after us. The lady with the giant gauges that dropped off our food to our table was THE ONLY ONE that gave us GOOD service! Thank you! Overall experience, NOT GOOD. Definitely don’t recommend this place. It was our first visit here & the place was packed which wasn't a surprise bcos we had been eyeing this place since few months but couldn't go. After the visit I have no idea why it's so crowded. Food was very mediocre. Infact we have our minds bitter of spending our money here. Several negative reasons- Even though there were few booths available, we were not asked but quickly given chairs which were uncomfortable. Usually we are asked of our pref. Mine & my daughter's drink came quickly but my hubby's sangria came on table after the appetizer which was like 20mins. Our chicken wing appetizer was lukewarm but the waiter just kept on the table & left. No utensils or tissues/paper towels were given. Aft waiting for 10 mins, my husband had to go in search of waiters to ask. He came aft 5mins rushed & didn't bother to even check if the chicken got cold. All he said was 'i thought u were given the utensils'. Like seriously, who will give us other than the person serving our table. Food was really ok. Bourbon Chicken & shrimp brisket was fine acc to hubby. My fish & chips were not great. Fish was not cooked well & zero seasoning. Kid's chicken Alfredo was fine. Again zero seasoning & chicken was not grilled as mentioned in the menu. We waited for 15 mins after we finished, again no sign of anybody. Then he came quickly, gave the bill, attended another table, took the card & left. No asking about the food or if we want anything else or desserts. I wanted to order the skittle dessert but all this experience made me annoyed & I just wanted to leave this place asap. My wife and I have been to applebees numerous times and always have a pleasant experience. However tonight was the exception. We were seated at a booth and after settling in, looking through the menu, our host asked us to relocate to another section. His explanation was there was no staff available to wait on us in this section. Odd because the table next to us was currently being served. Now my disabled wife and I had to exit our table and move to another section. After being seated, our waitress started taking our order. She did not know the beverage menu and could find our beverage on her order pad until I pointed our selection on th he actual menu. She took our order, shortly she delivered our waters but our beverages never arrived. Twice we asked for our beverages, her response was the bartender was busy. Not true, I was watching the bartender and she was not busy. Finally our beverages arrived, my wife had a glass of wine and I was given a can of beer. I asked for a glass to pour the can into it. Frustration set in after I asked several times, still no glass. Finally I told her to forget it. Our waitress never came back to our table until it was time for the bill. HORRIBLE customer service. Her tip reflected her service not the food quality. We will be back. There are numerous choices available that offer quality food and well trained staff that exhibit outstanding...
