Bamboo, what a place after our reservation was cancelled down the street, we showed up and they said it was 45 minute wait - hostess was kind enough to serve us some cocktails in the waiting area after 30 minutes we got hungry and asked if we could order and appetizer but that couldn't be done .. :she seemed busy strangely enough there was 11 tables open maybe there was a private event? God only knows and why do i know that because i sat there counting them … I went to the bar and asked to see if i could order a bottle of Nagori … the bartender was massively overwhelmed with the restaurant but was kind enough to see what he could do he said he couldn't sell me the last bottle and he continued on gave me a sample of something else…

Than our table was ready, we sat for another 20 minutes before we knew who our waiter was but when he arrived he was pleasant the guy was running about 8 tables and yet he was smiling and making sure everyone was well taken care of … he took our order with appetizer and another order of drinks he also went and after a 10 minute ordeal with bartender we wrestled our Bottle for us, what a great man .. all the dishes started pouring on the table like one of those disney movies where 5 people were serving all the dishes the flavor, presentation and drinks flowed like a roman party , and Cameron made sure we were happy addressing us by name and we just kept on spending money eating and drinking and anyone else we asked for a napkin or hot sauce turned us down when Cameron got involved oh lord did he come back not only with one but three different spicy sauces, napkins, ginger, wasabi and more ….

Cameron is an MVP the kitchen staff was incredibly fast and good quality , hostesses are doing best they can but so much wasted space with some of those tables still being empty after sitting down we still counted 8 why did I count just to keep a record when we left the same table next to us outside was still empty , a bit ridiculous but every restaurant has their operations, Cameron not only deserves a raise but a commission what was supposed to be cocktails and an appetizer turned in to changing our plans for the evening just to have a full dinner here

Cameron really smiled at all the customers stood up for his staffs shortcomings and went above and beyond to the point we thought he was the owner..

Thank you Cameron, thank you Atmosphere here is business casual, with nice colors proper mood light and music at a good level to talk , love this place wish there was more people like Cam here, or by any means everywhere … you guys are lucky to have him…

This place is perfect for a predate night , or casual date , wardrobe is casual, dressy with a bit of flair!! Crowd is mixed with a few soccer moms and a few casual business professionals…

UPDATE: We had one of the best customer service experiences here. Before I go into that, the food here is still great and even better because the choices are Gluten Free. Back to the customer service, we were there on February 29th 2024, and our waiter greeted us and let us know that it was her first week waitressing on her own, without someone shadowing her, and she hoped to do well. Half way through our meal, our son accidentally dropped one of his sushi pieces to the ground while trying to eat with chopsticks. He was very upset although mostly keeping it to himself and us. We tried to console him and tried to move on. But our waitress noticed his distress and approached us to ask about it. She kindly offered to get him a few more pieces of sushi, but the staff went even further, they quickly whipped up a new roll for him. We were delighted by this gesture. It is the kind of attentive customer service we all expect but rarely see anymore. If management is reading this, I hope they know who this waitress is and reward her for her value added skills. I'd recommend this place to anyone based on this customer service experience. Nevertheless the food here is still top notch.

PREVIOUS REVIEW:

We ordered food for delivery from their new location on Cedar Mill. Having already physically visited and ordered from their well known location on 26th many times we feel this place has been able to replicate the quality and tastiness of the original location. Where they sorta felt short was on the presentation and packing of our delivery order. We have ordered take out a couple of times from the location on 26th and we’ve always gotten Wasabi/soy sauce with every roll order, chopsticks, and every to-go tray has been decorated just as nicely as if it were served on a plate for the dinning room. This new location missed all those items and we basically got plain to-go trays with our rolls, no wasabi, no soy sauce and no decorations. I’m assuming this is just a miss because they are new and they will get it right next time. So minus 1-star for that but I’ll be re-writing my review if they get it right the next...

9/22/2025 I didn't go today but have gone many times since my first review. I've had sushi 🍣 all over the United States and on Maui.

NO OTHER PLACE except perhaps Maui has sushi as fresh, diverse menu, phenomenal environment, clean and friendly, large parking lot.. I'll just say it's by far the best sushi I've had in the USA.

It has become my top 'go-to' place.

I've reviewed it at least once before when I mentioned the difficulty they're having with property owners to expand. They need to, want to and should be allowed to wall in adjacent property. By far the best at everything!

I just got home from an accidental visit to Bamboo Sushi. I was going to neighboring businesses. I was hungry and this is one of the few sushi places where I've never eaten. Well, it turns out that it's one of the very best I've ever visited! A big surprise. I'm only doing a short review now and hope to add to it soon. My pictures will tell most of the story. I looked at a neighboring restaurant and decided not for me. When I poked my head into Bamboo Sushi, I was immediately impressed with being greeted professionally and she was friendly too. The decor was impressive. Clean, modern. Then when I looked at the menu I knew I was going to eat there now. As I've said, I have appointments now but I'll try to post some of the pictures before I leave. Chris was my main server and he was great! He said that I could use his name but would rather not have his picture taken

Manager(s), Owners, take note. Chris is a big asset to you and your business. I've been many places, he's...

I'm SO glad to finally have Bamboo on the West side. The new restaurant has a nice open feel and modern interior. The bar tender was a delight. Service was great all around. Food was wonderful. We had edamame (salt throughout, not just on top!), shishito peppers, miso soup, a few different nigiri, and 2x king salmon sashimi. The fish quality is top-notch. If you get the king salmon nigiri, you MUST get it yakumi style... honestly it's one of the best freakin' bites there is. The king salmon in general felt like a delicacy, which is why we got the extra order of sashimi. The shishito peppers have changed over time. The previous owners had some recipe that included bacon and it was extraordinary. Last time we got it at the NW location and it was not nearly as good, so we asked and they said the previous owners didn't hand over the recipe. So expectations were low this time, but we got them anyway. I don't know what they did, but they figured SOMETHING out because these were fantastic...even without bacon. Hard to describe, so I just recommend saying "yolo" and trying it out. The sauce, the flakes, the char on the peppers.... Mmmm. Heck, even the miso soup was better than expected. It's new and popular, so I recommend a reservation. Or arrive at 3:45 so you have a shot at a seat when they open at 4. Down side: the parking lot is awful and busy and somehow everyone in it seems to drive like an idiot. There's overflow parking nearby and I suggest just aiming for that from the start.

Been here several times since they opened. Always great service. Gets busy so reservations are recommended to setup at least a few days to a week in advance, especially for larger groups. Very modern crisp and trendy space but not all that big inside - extra seating on the patio, too bad they don't utilize it during the winter for extra seating even though they have heaters, would have to wrap the patio like a tent, which they don't currently do. Outdoor patio is nice in the warmer months and is covered but without walls. Reservation system has always been great, anywhere from 4-9 people, have to call for over 4, but online system is accurate and easy. Never had any issues waiting with reservation and table(s) have always been ready. Tried walk-in service, very long wait during peak dinner hours, off hours no problem. Menu is diverse and fairly unique, something for everyone, they pride themselves on serving as much sustainable food as possible without compromising quality. Sushi quality and taste has always been top notch, have tried many items with zero complaints. Nice presentation and average portion sizes. Non sushi items are excellent too, even their burgers. Plenty of parking in large shared mall, but can get very busy during peak hours. Pretty noisy as conversations and music easily reflect off the tall flat walls and windows and concrete floor. Easy access for disabled folks. Great spot, tasty eco-sourced sushi, and pleasant dining experience.😸✨
