The burgers got much smaller and are not worth the price. They are about the same size as what you’d get at In-N-Out but twice as much. I honestly thought they brought me a kids burger by accident. Practically a slider more than a burger. We got 2 double cheeseburgers and one single cheeseburger, one cheese fry, one bacon cheese fry, 2 shakes, and a tea. The bill was over $60. Again for the same portion size it’s half as much at a place like In-N-Out. Or for close but still less you can go to killer burger and have about double the portion size. So shake shack is twice as much for half the quantity. I will also add that I don’t like how you can’t get grilled onions. Also I don’t like that much like Chick-fil-A if you want a refill you need to go up to the counter and find a worker. They need to just put the drinks out where people can get to them. This is especially true because the small drink cup is about 8 ounces and mostly ice. If you offer unlimited refills then either have larger cups or put the machines out for self serve. Another strange thing to me is the booths. The mounting post is so close to where your legs go it was hard to slide into the booth for me. The burger was tasty though. Fries were ok. Shake was a 4/5 on taste but was super thin. It had the viscosity of a smoothie. I won’t be going back until they lower prices or make the portion sizes larger. It’s a shame since it is a tasty burger.

I had the misfortune of having to go the Beaverton, the land of wide boulevards, way too many drive-thru restaurants and idling vehicles, three times in the past 30 days for doctors appointments. Stopped into Shake Shack to see what the hoopla is all about. Not impressed with my first visit, second visit was better. I'll leave it at that. First visit was nearing the end of the lunch hour and I found it was packed. Okay, maybe this is something I thought. Then looking around, I saw nearly all the four-top tables were occupied by a single person holding a red Door Dash warming delivery bag. Ordered the grilled cheese hotdog with fries because I wasn't that hungry. When my meal finally arrived after nearly 15 minutes it was barely luke warm at best. Cheese Whiz tastes better than the stuff on my hotdog, so don't bother. My second visit about a week later was a better experience. Ordered the cheeseburger with fries. It arrived about 3-5 minutes later, hot and ready for consumption. The burger was good, fries just the way I like them, hot, crispy and yummy. Not sure I'd go out of my way to eat there again but if I was on a road trip, hungry and I had a choice between McDonald's and Shake Shack, I'd pick the latter, if for no other reason than they offer beer with your order.

How hard should it be to order food at a place that makes its money… wait for it… selling food? This place is trying to out-think itself by having you order at a digital kiosk instead of talking to one of the nice people working there. Sound fun? Maybe if you’re an introvert who likes the idea of dealing with a screen instead of a live person, but then what do you do when their ordering technology fails? You go through the process of learning how to order your food using their relatively simple app on their digital kiosk screens… but then you go to pay and you get an error. You try again and go through the whole process, same error. A worker comes to help and guess what, they also have no idea what the error is. So they tell you to wait while they contact a manager, who is busy helping other customers who are struggling to place their food order digitally also. All of this is supposed to help profits, or productivity, or lower worker costs, or what? Just like my food I tried to order here, I don’t get it. If I wanted technology to fail me and slow things down I would’ve bought a new android, or roomba, or well you get the idea. But when it comes to ordering a burger, it just shouldn’t be this difficult and time consuming should it?

We love to try new restaurants both locally and nationally, Ok, we returned for a second chance; Oct 26, 6pm. What a zoo. No lines at the counter, but again this time over 30 min for our order to be delivered. Not only is me, but others were saying when is our food coming. At order I asked and was told about 20 min.

All in all that is my second experience and what my surrounding tables were saying. Had a group of exchange students on my left and asked them what they thought. Good food probably not returning. On my right two younger ladies again first time and they liked the food but would not return due to length of time for an order.

For us I got the Truffle Burger, fantastic taste but the Hamburger was pink to red. Not a good sign as they were rushing. Fries were just perfect Hot and extra crispy as I ordered. Wife had just a regular Shack burger. It was Ok but not impressed. Oh someone said it compared to 5 guys. Been there, but everyone has their own taste.

We Will not be returning for any reason. Would not recommend ! Also hate the owners canned responses. Need to learn a lesson in restaurant management for Applebee's, Baja Fresh. Just free advice.

Good luck with your Franchise! Find a Niche. Fast food, Consistency, Quality, Service and Price. Feel like you are struggling to find it! Ask corporate for help! This advice is free! As I am retired!

Was there yesterday. 5 min after opening.

Re: service - Very few inside I was # 4. Took almost 20 min to get order. Focusing on call ins and and online orders seems the top priority. Food was OK but not like pictured. Very small bands makes the burger larger in picture. Seamed to me they have adult following similar to to Krispy Kreme Re: food - Great as promised the Burger was well done and juicy. The presentation was sloppy, the bottom bun was smaller than the top and very soggy. They threw in bacon which was not ordered which I thought was great! Burgers on OK deal, drinks over priced. Going to try it again next week with my wife and will update. For now...

Placed a pick up order and went to pick it up. When I had gotten the text about my food being done, I went to their pick up place and searched for my order. Most of the orders were marked with names, but there were a few that weren’t. I asked if my order was one of the orders that didn’t have a name and the people working said it wasn’t and proceeded to continue with what they were doing. After waiting another 20 minutes and asking a couple more times, I finally grabbed an unlabeled bag of food that had been sitting there for a while and checked to see if it had my food in it (I hadn’t checked earlier due to concerns of not wanting to get into someone else’s order). Sure enough, it was my food, and had been sitting there since I had arrived. I was bummed that the staff wasn’t more helpful in helping me get the right food, nor when I asked about getting stuff re-made. When I got home, a 5 minute drive away, the food was soggy and cold. It would have been better for me to go to Fred’s, buy a bag of crinkle fries and a frozen burger and then leave it in my car on a hot day because I would have gotten the same quality of food for a better price. On top of that, my wife’s burger didn’t have any tomatoes or lettuce, which we specifically asked for, so we used our own tomatoes and lettuce that we got at Fred’s. Wouldn’t recommend this Shake Shack!! Save your money and go to any other one when you’re on vacation...
