I really wanted to love this bakery — the food itself was great — but my experience with the front desk left me feeling unwelcome.
I visited on September 14th around 11:40am hoping to have brunch. We weren’t greeted when we arrived, and when I asked about breakfast I was met with, “It’s past 11:30,” and a point toward the menu board, as if I should have known exactly where to look. I felt flustered and anxious, quickly picking something else while my partner ordered.
When I accidentally ordered the same thing as him, the staff member looked at me and said, “So you want the same thing as him?” in a way that felt dismissive. Later, when I went back for coffee, they just stood there after ringing me up. When I asked about creamers, I got a short “They’re right there,” and another confused look. Cups weren’t out for customers, so I had to ask again, only to be told, “I’ll hand them to you.”
All of these little moments added up to me feeling like I was an inconvenience instead of a valued guest. The pastries and food were excellent, but the front-of-house interaction left me debating whether I’d want to return. I hope management can address the customer service side, because the kitchen is...

Food: I got the DH special and a guava pastry plus a hot cup of coffee. The chimichurri was delicious on the sandwich and the ciabatta was so fresh - the perfect crunch yet still airy?!? How do they do it!? Guava pastry was a perfect sweet treat and paired wonderfully with the delicious cup of coffee I ordered. I had my meal to stay and there was plenty of comfortable seating in the cafe.
Environment: plenty of tables and seats indoors and outdoors. They have a corner lot so you should be able to enjoy your fresh meal right there even with a larger group! I saw a group of about 12 people come in for breakfast from a nearby office. They pushed tables together and got to enjoy pastries as a team.
Service: The gentleman at the front register was a delight! Super friendly and answered all of my questions. Him and the chef were working very well together especially when it got pretty busy. They are true pros, kept it cool under pressure and provided fantastic service.
I am so excited to go back and keep supporting...
Read moreTook over the Pips Donut on the corner of Beaverton Old Downtown, but seemed quite popular when I went at 11am, the line was long, and the place was full of people meeting for lunch or doing work on their laptop on the side. It’s my first time at any Dos Hermanos after seeing them at farmers markets and talked about. I got a normal Italian sandwich, a peanut butter cookie, and a snickerdoodle.
All 3 were great, the peanut butter cookie was subtle and it stayed moist 3 days later for me to finish. The snickerdoodle just tasted like a sugar cookie so I’d skip on that the next time. The Italian sandwich was a straight delicious sandwich, nothing to complain about or anything that would get me out of bed.
The next time I do want to try their chopped sandwich I hear a lot about on croissant bread. That’ll be my next one! Glad they’re in the neighborhood! Friendly staff, not a lot of drink options outside of regular pour...
