I personally always liked lion heart coffee. We’ve gone to the other location on Farmington a couple of times and never had any issues. We recently began coming to this location since it’s closer to home and been bit disappointed twice by the service. Fortunately the coffee still taste the same but it just seems the baristas here don’t prioritize customer service. It’s normal for customers to ask for a menu (since the other location has one) and because we were looking up the menu on our phones the barista at the counter seemed rather annoyed and was sarcastic with us (which we encountered twice) we felt rushed to make a decision… he then said, “We just have normal coffee things on the menu” and when I asked about what syrups do you have ? He responded sarcastically again, “I can go through the entire menu for you or I can tell you we have some NORMAL coffee syrups like vanilla, caramel, etc” As we were finishing up the transaction, my boyfriend forgot to mention almond milk and had already paid and we would’ve been fine paying the .75 up charge regardless and if it had been a problem, but the barista said it was fine. After the transaction was over they exchanged annoyed faces to one another in regards to a change in alternative milk. Some people have allergy concerns and they shouldn’t be berated for them. This location has made me feel uncomfortable twice because of the baristas failures to meet basic customer service standards of a local coffee shop and I would gladly support other local businesses that will make me feel comfortable, valued, and...

I want to note that this is an edit to my previous review, when I was super frustrated and I even called into complain. What makes Lionheart coffee, and this particular location, stand out is that they heard me. They listened.
Since then, for months now, every single time I come in they remember my name. They don't just remember my birth name either but because I'm in the middle of a name change, they remember and respect that too.
Then, they remember my order because I have a very particular way that I like my coffee served to me. They deliver every time. It almost freaks me out a little because they remember without me even having to tell them.
Also, every single person has been super nice to me even though I was super grumpy before. They really brighten up my day whether I stop in the morning or run by in the afternoon.
It's not an exaggeration to say that the small interactions that I have with them maybe a couple times a week, have an almost outsized positive impact.
Not surprisingly, their reputation precedes them too. When I'm patronizing other local businesses in the area and I mention that I'm going to stop by Lionheart and grab a coffee beforehand, other customers always have something positive to say and they love the place, and the employees,...
Read moreHappen to live right next door. Sometimes will run over for a quick coffee in my PJs. They are usually very very nice. Walked in today and it was busy. Let me clarify though. There was no line and no other customers waiting. Everyone rose was sitting engaged in conversation. The store clerk barley even acknowledged my existence. Didn’t even go to the register to take my order. They were mumbling to me behind the counter while doing something else. I eventually just sat down at the counter. I expressed I could not hear them and was leaving it was too loud. Then I walk back by a couple minutes later and there was some very nicely dressed people in there and the employee was right at that register helping them timely. Honestly feel judged and disregarded because I went in in my PJs and I feel that the employee judged me based off that and gave me less of a service or experience. I had a couple coffees I intended to buy and now I have no intention of coming back and I literally live next door. Please talk to your employee about including everyone not just people who dress nice. I work full time and my name is on this apartment. I honestly can’t believe that even...
