I recently had the pleasure of dining at Roastery by Ava in downtown Beaverton to celebrate my granddaughter’s graduation, and it was nothing short of exceptional. This Italian-adjacent spot blends elegance with warmth, offering a cozy and conversation-friendly atmosphere that feels both modern and inviting. Think light-colored floors, dark furniture, and a soundtrack that somehow hits just the right vibe.
The menu was a delightful surprise. We shared warm olives to start—simple, fragrant, and delicious. The hummus was velvety smooth and paired beautifully with the house bread. For mains, the hot ham sandwich was rich and satisfying, while the fig & prosciutto with goat cheese struck the perfect balance between sweet, salty, and creamy. Every dish felt thoughtfully composed and full of flavor.
Their craft cocktails and coffee-forward drinks deserve a special mention-highly recommend the Cold Fashioned or ask Nathan to create something "ginny."
The service was outstanding—attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely warm. You can tell the staff take pride in what they do. It added a personal touch to an already memorable meal.
If I lived closer, I’d be here every weekend. Roastery by Ava isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience, and one I’d...
Read moreThe setting has dim lighting so it’s perfect for a date. The drinks were very well made and you could tell a lot of effort was put into creating the tastes. I tried the “Paper Plane” which was a citrusy and smooth whiskey. I had the “Hazelnut Espresso Martini” after which Nathan, the server and master mind behind the store recommended because its nutty flavor would go well with the acidity of the paper plane.
The music was a vibe and my friends and I found ourselves grooving to the beat.
After our drinks we had their take on Tiramisu. It was fluffy and the espresso flavor went very well with the drinks.
Overall it was a very pleasant experience, the staff were very friendly, the artwork was cool, and the candle lite setting was calming. Highly recommend for a date night, or just chilling...
Read moreI visited for the first time last night, about a month after they opened. The atmosphere was really nice, and the staff (particularly Nathan the manager) were welcoming, informative, and made it a great time! My eyes were opened earlier this year to espresso martinis and so I ordered the Midnight Cocoa. While it did not transcend to the level of one I had at the Gaylord Palms in Florida, I plan to go back and try every drink on the menu. I get the impression this place, and the drinks, will go from great to fabulous over time! The atmosphere is perfect for a couple. Its not really set up for singles to go and hang out though, at least not yet. They roast coffee in the roaster in the middle of the bar from 5pm to 7pm. Its an event I plan...
