Normally I like Sports Page, they have Winterhawks away games, lots of TVs where I can watch Blazers, and a good decent reasonably priced menu. Just don't sit at the mini table on the wall between the back door and the bar. I counted 4 wait staff all actively working the side of the bar with all the Winterhawks fans: The bar tender in the Oregon #6 jersey, the tall bald guy with the blue shirt, and two ladies actively working the rest of the floor. I would have been happy to wave one of them down, it they had even made eye contact.
At half time of the game, it was 34 minutes later and noone had offered me something to drink, must less acknowledge my presence. At that point, I left thirsty and hungry. On my way out I saw a 5th waitperson and asked them who was the manager, but she did not know (but was otherwise nice and tried to make it right, but at that point it was too little too late).
I'd rather not go to a chain, but luckily Applebees was happy to seat me right in front of the game and quickly brought me a drink and a menu. I spent $28 there and saw the rest of the game with some good food and drink. Fail this time Sports Page, Epic Fail. Nicoli's in Tualatin and Buffalo Wild Wings in Beaverton both show Winterhawks games, so I have...
Read moreNot a fan. Having worked in the restaurant industry all my life, I have a high tolerance for a bad experience. Our waitress was nice enough; but we asked her about what was on their blackened fish tacos, she says lettuce and sauce. They come out with hardly any fish (looked gross) lettuce, the sauce, plus tomato and a ton of cheese. We sent it back, and since there wasn't much else that my wife wanted, she simply asked for a cup of soup, (which should be the quickest thing in a restaurant). We wait and wait and watch her peering into the kitchen like she can't go in without food being at the ready. In the meantime, I try a bite of my French Dip which is on basically a hot dog bun, with hardly any meat, and what meat it had was dry and chewy. Being very underwhelmed by that, and waiting for the to soup come for 8-9 minutes (no sense of priority on getting the replacement out quickly) I caught our server's attention, and expressed my dismay for the situation and horrible food. We said we will pay for our Bloody Marys (they were not bad) and be on our way. We got our check with no apology or attempt to make us happy. I will say the burgers looked really good, but I don't expect to go back...
Read moreWent there multiple times while I stayed in Beaverton/Tigard, and it's not a bad place. Friendly environment if ya have a good attitude, "Family friendly" vibe as well as a "real good time" vibe when it gets late. Enjoyed the karaoke, that was just slayed by a boss among men named: Ricky Bobby. Food was good the first night, had an amazing waiter named Rodrigo, the MVP of the sports paage. Rodrigo made the night with the temperament of a god and the service of high end restaurant waiter serving in the middle of a savagely good time. Burgers are boss, loved the fries as well. The next day I went early and ordered a chicken Cesar salad with my friends, didn't get the chicken Cesar salad till my friends brought it back to the hotel. I'd left because they never served me and my friends had gotten their burgers and finished. They then received this overcooked chicken, mixed with a half head of lettuce thrown in a Togo box for $13-Rodrigo was nowhere in sight that day, sadly I found that the core reason of my low rating-Not enough Rodrigo...
