this was my first time ever trying panera bread and i must say it was horrible & it makes me not want to try them ever again. first of all, the dining area was closed, no one knows why, it was just closed. we order our food, we had a promo code for a desert.. okay cool. we get to the window.. they took 10 minutes just to come to the window to even take our money. after waiting, a woman comes to the window to tell us they don’t have tomato soup & the only soup they had was chicken noodle soup. okay, well i don’t want that. then, we also ordered a bacon & mac & cheese bread bowl… the bread came cold and wrapped up.. the mac & cheese was in a little bowl by itself & had no bacon on it. we got the chocolate croissant we ordered with the promo code & we asked them heat it up & the girl at the window said “im sorry no we can’t do that”.. they wouldn’t even warm up the pastry.. we never got the credit taken off for the promo code.. and we ended up getting our money back for the bread bowl.. it was horrible and after explaining to the woman at the window we wanted a refund & why? about 3 minutes later a manager im assuming comes to the window and ask “what’s the problem” after we had already told one employee. we will not be back to this panera bread.. for a first time experience this...

After waiting for 7 minutes I am told there is no more chicken soup and was offered a refund or to select a different soup. I really wanted chicken so I opted for a refund. There was a woman placing her order and I had to wait for the clerk to refund my money. While waiting I clearly hear this woman order chicken soup amongst other things and pay for it. Then the clerk proceeds to take the next persons order as I cut in since I am starving at this point and say are you going to refund me? To which she replies yes one minute. I am now livid trying to understand why this woman lied to me about the soup and furthermore is making me wait for my refund. Now I am wondering if it's because I wasn't white like the others in the store!! She should've been honest with me and given my refund instead of making me wait longer and not providing me the proper customer servcie. Read moreSome booths in this restaurant are incredibly uncomfortable and one really needs some repair. I have gotten frequent wrong orders here and called about the last one and the person who answered seemed to not have any professional mannerisms and couldn’t nor would not take steps to solve the problem. I had to take my issue to Panera online to get it solved. The food here cost way to much to keep getting messed up orders and the aggravation so I’ve stopped going here. I wish it were different because I do enjoy some of the healthier menu items when they are made with what they are supposed to come with and all items are given that you paid for. I came to the drive-through today and I watched a lady in a sweater making food without gloves. I saw her drop food bags on the floor and pick them back up to be used. My food wasn’t very good.
