From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in the heart of Tokyo, except with a Southern hospitality twist. The staff at Yummi Japan greeted me with such enthusiasm and warmth that I almost thought I was their long-lost cousin from Japan. They made me feel like I was the emperor of sushi, and who wouldn't want that royal treatment?
Now, let's talk about their food, shall we? Oh boy, it's a rollercoaster of delectable delights! Their sushi rolls are so fresh that they could probably moonlight as fish whisperers. I tried the "WV Roll," and I swear it had magical powers. One bite, and I was transported to a mythical land of flavor dragons dancing on my tongue.
Their teriyaki dishes are like sweet and savory symphonies that tickle your taste buds in all the right ways. I felt like a culinary conductor, orchestrating the perfect balance of flavors with every bite. It's so good that I could swear the teriyaki sauce has a secret pact with my taste buds to keep me coming back for more.
And let's not forget about the hibachi show! It's like dinner and a show all in one. The chefs at Yummi Japan are like culinary ninjas, flipping their spatulas and juggling knives with mesmerizing skill. I half expected them to break out into a ninja dance routine while cooking my food, but maybe that's just my imagination running wild with excitement.
But wait, there's more! The portions here are so generous that I could barely finish my meal. It's like they're saying, "Hey, we want you to be happily full and take some yumminess home for later!" How can you say no to that kind of generosity?

Read moreDo not recommend coming here take your money somewhere else more deserving who actually care about their customers & dont treat them lile their stupid if theyve had an experience there from before but of coarse dont have the receipt or proof from year or so ago cause who the hell has info that long! After picking up food I ordered I pulled off to eat with my children & realized I forgot to ask for the spicy sauce or whatever it is I normally get to dip my egg rolls in so I drove back up to the doors & went back in to ask for it. The girl up front was very rude & acted like I'm stupid & didn't know what I was talking about. She must be new & doesn't know what I'm talking about but honestly regardless she was very rude & acted like I'm a stupid child & embarrassed me with how she spoke to me especially with how I had to bring one of my children in & how he got loud & cranky. She was unprofessional & insisted I should remember what I got before & acted like it was weird I didn't when it is not weird or odd I shouodn't have to rememver something from the past 3 years that I only got 4 times & I do not get often. It is not my fault I do not go out to eat often and when I do I get what I normally do & I do not have good enough memory to remember every time they told me what it was before. I have got it 4 times over the last 3 years that's it. Last time I was here was probably a year or so ago. I shouldn't have to remember for them to know what I'm talking about. There was some guys who worked up front every time I came here before & they ALWAYS knew what I was talking about. They had to make it but it was always hot to the touch & they put it in a in a styrofoam bowl & it was spicy & has the consistancy of soup. I miss the guys who worked up front! This girl needs fired. I spent all this money $60+ for just about nothing. I work hard for my money esp not to be treated like that. I shouldn't have tipped either & I regret doing so.... I added pictures of what the sauce or soup looked like below of coarse it may have no been called whatever these pictures are of but this is the best way I can show what it looked...
Read moreThe restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, those were the best things about the restaurant. My first disappointment is that our food was served in styrofoam containers. I felt like I was eating lunch at work and not dining in a restaurant. miso soup was flavorless and the ginger salad dressing was equally disappointing. I ordered the steak, chicken and shrimp hibachi. I was not asked what temperature I wanted my steak cooked. The steak was over cooked as was the chicken and rice. The shrimp were very small like a salad shrimp. In addition all of the proteins were dreadfully under seasoned. My fiance was equally as disappointed. We will not be eating at the misnomer Yummi...
