I'd like to start by saying the food here is very good. I haven't dined in, but from other reviews that seems to be the way to go. This is why I gave them two stars rather than one.
The first time I ordered food, I provided my information and was told it would be 45 minutes. No problem. I show up, and they can't find my order and tell me someone already picked it up. They show me the receipt and ask if I know the signature of the WOMAN who picked it up(I look and sound very much like a man), which I did not. The restaurant didn't have a single person dining at the time, so it's not as though the person handling orders was overwhelmed. No problem, I'll wait longer. Another 45 minutes and my food is ready, this time I get there before someone else takes it. Not a single apologetic word from anyone. Whatever.
Fast forward to today, I call and ask to place a carryout order. The gentleman asks me if I can hold. Sure, no problem. Rather than put me on hold, he sits the phone down and proceeds to talk to someone else about some sport, asking about positions played and things. This went on for two actual minutes before I hung up. Two minutes is a long time to have someone sit on hold while you chat about something that could have waited until after someone purchased something from your place of business.
Needless to say, I will not be spending any money at this restaurant ever again and I will not recommend...
Read moreThis was my very first time going to this restaurant. And my second time going to a Indian restaurant. And I have to say that Sizzling Bombays food was phenomenal!... But first I have to say the atmosphere was restful yet romantic. I had the lunch buffet and presentation looked neat. If you are looking for something seasoned and not too spicy 🥵 this is your place. My favorite was the spinach and lentil soup and the rice pudding! I would have given them a 5 , but once I said i had a Groupon voucher I felt shunned.Once he sat me down he just poured water in my glass and left. Not telling what I can anything for about 5 mins, I decided to walk up the front and asked if I could start serving myself or do they bring something for the table. Once he told me I can server myself and I started eating I was in awe!...the Naan was warm, soft yet crunchy!... I don't even remember all that I had but the food was scrumptious!...I ordered the Masala Chat and to my surprise it was unsweetened but they did bring packets of sugar with it. The smell and taste was pleasant. When it came time to pay I just showed them my voucher and paid for the remaining balance with cash. I will be back ...with another Groupon voucher . Great job...
Read moreI just went with my brothers tonight. We originally went so my brother could experience a restaurant for another cultures food for a project for school, because of that we ordered several starters as well as a few mango lassi. As our visit went we asked many questions and the staff was informative, and very nice. They put up with all of our questions and answered enthusiastically. I being someone who wants to spend my life in the food service field asked if I could go and have a look at their kitchen and they kindly allowed me back so I could look at their tandoori oven. While in there they showed me how they cook the naan bread and were very pleasant and informative. Each of me and my brothers ordered a different main course so that we could try some of each. My youngest brother got Chicken Biryani, my other brother got their chicken curry, and I got Goat vindaloo. All of our food was superb, and my goat was simply amazing. The atmosphere was relaxing and very nice. This establishment has earned my continued patronage through their exceptional service and mouth watering food. I am already planning on bringing my girlfriend and her mother there to try their food.
Thank you for the...
