Where do I even begin.....For starters when you walk in, you're absolutely confused on where to go. There were staff by the front door who were occupied which is understandable as to why they didn't tell us what to do (they were busy). Me and my friend go up and ask the lady taking bills where do we go? She said we can seat ourselves wherever we'd like. I said okay, and we sat at a booth for two people. Immediately a lady comes over and ask us what we'd like to drink...…. we haven't even been handed a menu yet. I just say apple juice because I have the slightest of an idea what type of beverages they sell.
Now onto their food. I ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, and chicken Caesar wrap with fries as an entrée. First comes my apple juice in a glass that looks fairly clean, with obvious dishwasher stains and clouds on them. I didn't even feel comfortable drinking or even touching the glass. I did anyways. Later after examining my drink, I found a few spectacles of food floating in my drink. I assumed it might have been my food since I did go from eating to drinking, eating to drinking. Next comes my mozzarella sticks. They were served with a bowl of "marinara sauce". I noticed something was off about the sauce just from looking at it. It had chunks of beef in it. I tried it with a mozzarella stick and soon discovered it was spaghetti sauce with beef in it. I was absolutely appalled. It only got worse. Next came my food. The fries were okay. I've had better. My wrap was okay, again...I've had better. What I really found disgusting was my friend's quesadilla. The meat was very low quality and the cheese was horrific.
My total ended up coming to $38 and some change. I honestly wanted to take the ceaser wrap off my bill because I only took about 5 bites out of it before calling it quits. I felt bad, and didn't want to deal with taking it off my menu. I did tip my waiter $5 since she was nice. I honestly don't blame the staff there for the bad food quality but this place is not one to eat at. Coney islands are slightly better than this place. If they increase the quality of their food, ambiance and interior design, I would definitely give this...
Read moreHorrible experience leaving a hungry kid sad. I placed an order for a kids meal for carry out. Picked it up, no problem. Called back minutes after the pick up to place another order for a kids meal for a different child(saw his brothers chicken strips and decided he wanted some). When I went to pick up my second carry out, I was told they can't do kids meals for carry outs. While that may be fine, I literally just picked up the same order 20 minutes prior. Got a hungry kid standing there just wanting his food and me trying to support small business. Come to find out, that was a mistake. The manager, Joe, was a incompetent and would not honor a kids meal pick up, notwithstanding the fact one was just picked up. He's clearly not a people person and should steer clear of jobs that require interaction with the public. The owner was not in and the waitress whom originally took my order said sometimes the owner let's them, sometimes not. Sounds like management and the owner need to get their policy straight and stop confusing their paying costumers, along with their wait staff. Not good for business and purely inconvenient, though it was superb spending my money elsewhere. The waitresses were all kind and apologetic, as it's not their fault they work for ignorance. One would think that, during a pandemic especially, a business would prefer all the business it can get. Turns out, Sam's Place would rather their business went across the street to A&W...with kids meals and...
Read moreI have started going to Sam's about 6 months ago. Have never been disappointed in the food. Have had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tonight I went for dinner. I ordered fish and chips with salad and a water to start. My company order the chicken dinner with soup and a beer. The food was not disappointing. The food did however sit in the widow for 10 minutes.I could see from where I sat. 2 people were waiting at the door to get service. My waitress was leaning over the counter in back on her phone.the waitress from the other side got my company another beer. I said excuse me loudly after a few minutes for my waitress to come out front and help the people at the door. They thanked me. Then she brought our food.... She didn't return for a while. We wanted apple pie and cheesecake to go. But after waiting she brought the check and I asked for pie and she walked away! My company was highly upset with her horrible attitude and didn't want the pie anymore but I had to tell the other waitress I wanted plain cheesecake to go as well....The other waitress cashed me out after have to change the printer paper because my waitress put it in wrong.... THEY NEED A MANGER TO WATCH OVER STAFF if they want people to continue...
