This is a very mediocre spot that I had high hopes for. Let's start off with the good.
Staff was very friendly and attentive. Service was quick. (+1) The inside of the brewpub looks great, modern, and clean. (+1) The drinks were pretty good, my old fashioned was on the very short side but it had a good enough flavor. Honestly the glass was topped off with ice and maybe had an ounce of liquor in it filling up just a couple centimeters in the glass. Pilsner was good. Margarita was good. (+1)
These were the good things. It had a warm and welcoming atmosphere in a nice place with great staff and decent enough drinks. However, that's where it stops. If you're going just for that fantastic. You do you.
Now, here's the problem. The food was just... honestly pretty bad. I like pizza a lot. It doesn't have to blow your mind for you to enjoy it. This though... I didn't enjoy. The dough tastes like frozen, store bought wonderbread. It's floppy, sugary, and the cook on it was very uneven despite obviously going through a conveyor oven on a wire screen. I'm actually pretty sure this is frozen premade pizza dough from Costco. The sauce was one of the most bland things I could have tasted, like a less sugary ketchup. Now the cheese is an interesting part. The menu says for a cheese pizza, and I quote, "Red sauce and five cheese mix plus Monterey Jack and Gruyere." Does that really mean this is a whopping 7 cheese pizza? Well it didn't really matter since it was akin to plastic with some parts having not even melted that I pulled out as solid chunks. Overall, it's a close race between this and the Chuck E Cheese I endured for my nephew's birthday.
My date got the Fish and Chips since we were told they use their own beer in the batter. While the fry on the outside was pretty good, the fish was low quality and dried out. This was maybe a tiny step up from frozen Fish and Chips that are hastily tossed in a fryer. The fries with it were floppy and soggy. Slaw was okay and tartar sauce was okay. (-1)
So overall, the food was pretty close to frozen food you might find at a cheap dive bar in the area. Which is totally fine, I love a good dive bar. The problem here is that they're charging $25 for mediocre at best Fish and Chips and $17 for one of the worst pizzas I've paid for. This pizza on a kid's menu for $5 would be acceptable. The drinks were pricey as well which really confused me. Even though the service was great, they made the drinks in the back at some cart station instead of properly at the bar in front of you. This made the liquors put in a complete mystery. If you go, I'd recommend you tell them what spirit you want. This is also pretty self evident as nearly every bottle behind the bar was still plastic sealed. Seems a bit shady. (-1)
Last point that bugs me is that the suggested tip amounts were 20%+. Made it a little awkward when I had to fumble around while pretending everything was up to par hitting the custom tip button. I still tipped 18% or close since the issues really weren't with the bar staff.
Honestly, just kind of a shame. It seemed like a cool spot in a new and upcoming area. Big let down unfortunately and probably won't be back. For the prices being charged, they really need to up their game on the food. Stop using so many frozen ingredients, you're charging amounts that you can afford to do some proper prep work in the morning. The effort on the cook really needs to go into it too.
Seems like they wanted to hide my review so I'm deleting my photos. The pictures make the pizza look way better than the flaccid...
Read moreWow, I don't know where to start. Given the argumentative, snarky nature of EVERY response to a negative review left here already, I'm reluctant to say anything besides avoid this place. It looks like they've almost put themselves out of business already, barely have any customers. There's a reason for that.
They've gotten our orders wrong multiple times, both putting stuff on we asked to remove, and having stuff missing that was supposed to be there. Yeah, we mentioned it, but at some point it's just too chronic. The latest thing was loading up a dish with bacon, when it wasn't mentioned on the menu, and we even asked to take off other stuff with bacon. If you don't eat pork, you usually can't eat anything else that's touched it, not to mention the sight and smell ruining your appetite. They're also extremely slow. Once, we sat around waiting for food for 25 minutes plus, place is dead, until I went to the bathroom and see all of the plates sitting on the kitchen bar in the back. I had to point it out to a waiter to get then to notice. It was all lukewarm and the salads were wilted. You can only ask a place to redo plates so many times. And the flippant, combative attitude that usually comes along with it just isn't worth it.
The root of this is probably the manager, in all honesty, who has an attitude of extreme "machismo." He can do no wrong and accepts no responsibility, and will actively look for any way to blame the customer. As you can read yourself from the responses here. Not a single sincere apology among them. He will listen-up to a point when he loses attention span, and just starts throwing orders together haphazardly. Whoever owns this place, if you read this, the community begs you to replace this person, let him go live his dream in a more rugged, lassiez-faire environment where he won't be plagued by the particular diners of Bellevue. There is something very wrong at the core of operations with this place.
And "dude," we are not interested in your inevitable unprofessional reproach. The only response to wrong orders, late, cold food, inattentive waitstaff, and all of the other issues, isn't anything like the things you've said!
If there is anyone who actually cares about this business and wants to make it right, at least for our last order, I would be willing to talk to them. (Not that...
Read moreI had an absolutely outstanding experience at Bellevue Brewing Company’s Spring District Brewpub! This place has quickly become one of my favorite go-to spots in the area, and for good reason. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuinely welcoming vibe. The space itself is beautifully designed—modern yet cozy—with plenty of seating, lots of natural light, and a great energy that makes it perfect for anything from a casual lunch to a fun night out with friends.
The beer selection is phenomenal. You can tell they put real craftsmanship into every brew. I tried a flight to get a taste of several styles, and every single one was top-notch, from the crisp lagers to the rich, complex IPAs. You don’t have to be a beer expert to appreciate the quality here—there’s something for everyone.
And let me talk about the food—wow! I wasn’t expecting brewpub food to be this good. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The burgers were perfectly cooked, the flatbreads were delicious, and even the appetizers were elevated beyond typical pub fare. You can tell the kitchen really cares about quality. Portions were generous, and pricing was very fair for what you get.
What truly put this place over the top was the service. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and had great recommendations. It’s clear the staff enjoys working there, and that creates such a positive atmosphere.
